Big news for all yogi travelers everywhere (and especially in San Francisco!)--the world's first airport yoga room opened last week! I know, I'm 5 days late in posting (as it officially opened last Thursday), but I still think that this is big news worth celebrating. Today Travel writes that "the new yoga room is bathed in calming blue light, with a floating wall said to symbolize a buoyant spirit and enlightened mind. Lights in the room are low and warm — to counteract the bright concourse — and loaner mats are supplied." Sounds pretty great for an airport, right? Check out a few images of the yoga room below (I love the lotus-inspired signs!): Read more about the space and watch a quick news story about it here.
What's your favorite pose to do when traveling? Mine is pigeon pose (I mean come on, are you surprised?). It just feels AMAZING after being cooped up in those tiny seats for so long... Anyways, so exciting! Now if only we could get a yoga room at DCA ;) Namaste, Mary Catherine Comments are closed.
