As you know, I'm pretty big on morning routines; You may remember that Ben and I recorded an entire podcast episode (our very first one!) all about this subject.
I think that morning routines have the power to transform your life from one that is frazzled, rushed, and unproductive, into one that is grounded, fulfilling, and uber productive. Basically, I think that morning routines can make you or break you, and I want to encourage ALL of you out there to find a morning routine that works for you! You've heard me talk about my morning routine before, and for the most part, it's still very similar to the mornings that I described on Starr Struck Radio, Episode 1: I wake up, I take Sayde out, I make my tea, and then I sit down and write for about an hour. It's lovely. Lately, however, I've made two small tweaks to my morning routine, especially on days in which my schedule is jam-packed (That's been a LOT of days lately): 1. If I know that my day is going to get super crazy and I probably won't have time to practice yoga in the afternoon [as I usually do], I'll pull out my mat and do a short practice in the morning, right after I finish writing. This has been a wonderful shift for me because that way, no matter what happens in the rest of my day, I know that I've done some yoga (and about 20 handstands, because I'm obsessed). It doesn't have to be a long practice--even 15 minutes feels great--just enough time to get moving, breathing, and really centered. Ahhhhh. 2. If I need to save time and want to grab a healthy breakfast, I've been enjoying a Naked Juice while on-the-go. These little drinks have been perfect for me, because I don't always have the time to make breakfast or chop up all of the veggies, fruit, and other ingredients needed to make a smoothie. With Naked Juice's newest smoothie products, Berry Almond Nutmilk (which I've been loving!), Bright Beets, Chia Cherry Lime, Chia Sweet Peach, Proteins & Greens, and Kale Blazer, I've been able to start the day with a bunch of fruits + veggies without having to do any of the legwork. Yum!
So, with this new combo of an AM practice session (even if it's short!) and a Naked Juice (no added sugars or preservatives!), my mornings have been better than ever.
Oh, and in case you're interested in starting your day in a similar way, here are a few more tidbits about the Berry Almond Naked Juice, which is pictured above:
Three cheers for morning routines! You can listen to our podcast episode about morning routines, "How to Maximize Your Mornings," on our new Starr Struck Radio page. I was selected for this opportunity as a member of Clever Girls and the content and opinions expressed here are all my own.

Hey MC. I'm obsessed with the Naked Juice, too, mostly the "Protein Zone" to drink on my way to work. BUT, watch out that there are TWO servings in a bottle, so one bottle of Protein Zone is a whopping 440 calories (plus my latte is a lot of calories before 7am). So, I try to drink only 1/2 a bottle each morning, which takes some self-control but I've gotten used to it. Now to add the 15 mins of yoga...that's a great goal. Comments are closed.
