When visiting home this past weekend, my Grandmother and Great Aunt went to watch my Dad's hockey game. Yes, my 59-yr old father plays in an adult hockey league (go Dad!), but what I find more amazing is that his Mother and Aunt still come to his games to watch him. How wonderful is that? At 82 and 84, they hop into their cars and drive 45 minutes to watch their adult (old!) son/nephew play hockey. They've done this so many times over the years that I think I'd gotten used to it (they have also been staples at my siblings' and my own games and events all throughout our lives), but it really struck me this past weekend, seeing both of them--all put together, as always-- coming out of the rink with my Father, smiling proudly at his performance during the game. It's an amazing love that keeps parents supporting us all throughout our lives... And, because my Nana and Butch are both SO wonderful and glamorous, I have to share a few pics below...check them out! Share: what's something totally amazing that your grandmother/grandfather/great aunt/etc. does? I'd love to hear :) Namaste! Mary Catherine Comments are closed.
