Somebody has a birthday today...and it's this little blog! It's been 4 years since I decided to write my first [horrifyingly embarrassing] post, and I am *so* glad that I did. It's been such an adventure. You, dear readers, have kept me going. Sometimes it's lonely on this side of the laptop--you're writing and writing, sharing all of your ideas and feelings and lessons and mistakes, and you begin to wonder, "Why am I doing this, again?" But then you get an email, a comment, or a message saying thank you, or connecting over something you wrote, or telling you that a post made a big impact on someone's life, and you're reminded why you do it. Because in this online world, real connection with an actual human being is everything. 'Likes' and shares are nice, and they definitely deliver that hit of dopamine that we're all so addicted to, but it's really about the people behind the screens; Creating a dialogue and relationship with someone across an ocean or across a country is a powerful thing, and blogs (and podcasts!) let us do that. I'm so thankful that they do. So, thank you for reading Starr Struck. Whether you've been reading for the past 4 years or the past 4 days, I appreciate the fact that you're here, and that you have chosen to come back and connect with me. That being said, to thank you for being a part of the Starr Struck community, I've teamed up with Uncommon Goods for this year's GRATITUDE GIVEAWAY! Here's what you can win (pictured above):
In order to be entered in the giveaway, all you have to do is complete my 2015 Reader Survey (below) by 11:59pm on Tuesday, March 10th. This survey is meant to help me learn more about you and what you like/dislike about the blog, so that I can better serve you in year #5 :) Once you complete the survey, simply enter your first name and email address for a chance to win the above goodies. Your answers won't be connected to your name/email, but if you don't want to enter the giveaway, you can just skip this question. The giveaway winner will be announced on the blog on Wednesday, March 11th. Btw, if you don't know about Uncommon Goods, you should. It's a privately owned retailer that features crazy unique designs and handcrafted gifts that are created in harmony with the environment + without harm to animals or people (yay!). They're headquartered in Brooklyn and their items are just gorgeous--plus, about 1/3 of their collection incorporates recycled or upcycled materials, which I love. You can check out some fabulous birthday gifts from Uncommon Goods here, and a wonderful selection of personalized gifts here. Now, for the survey.... If you'd prefer to complete the survey on a separate page, click here. Oh, and I'll be doing two more giveaways this month in order to continue the celebration! Stay tuned for more fun chances to win ;) And again, thank you. I'm sorry if I'm boring you with the repetition, but I just can't say it enough! Also, a big thanks to Uncommon Goods for hosting this year's giveaway. Have a wonderful day, bloggies! You're the best!

Congratulations on your 4-year Blogiversary! Thank you for all that you do, and write. I have enjoyed reading your posts and look forward to being inspired by you again and again. By the way, Pickles (the basset hound) helped me complete the survey and is requesting more Sayde on your blog. Thank you for considering his/our request :)
