Starr Struck Radio, Episode 34: Scaling Back in the New Year {+ Welcome to 2016!}

It's a new year and we're back! In this week's episode, we start by discussing vacations, holiday travel, + simple pleasures, and end with a conversation about scaling back in the new year.

In our household, "scaling back" is the theme of 2016 (as I touched on a bit in yesterday's blog post), so today, Ben and I spend some time chatting about how we're each scaling back, why we think it's important to do this, and how we both hope that scaling back will allow us to be more present at home + with each other in this new year.

Reminders/notes from the episode:
  • Starting now, Starr Struck Radio's seasons will be a bit shorter. This season (Season #2) will continue through the end of February--we'll then take a break and come back for Season #3 in April.

Also, as mentioned in the episode, here are the details about the strength training program discussed in Episode #33, which will be starting here on the blog next week (Monday, Jan. 11th): 
  • Starting Monday, January 11th I'll be posting my weekly programming (provided by Bobby, obviously) to the blog every Monday
  • This program/sharing will last for 6-weeks
  • There will be 3 training sessions per week, which will include a mix of both strength training and cardio
  • The assumption is that this program is designed for the yogi who also takes at least 2-3 yoga classes per week
  • For those who want to follow along on your own, each post will share links to videos (where applicable) to demonstrate the exercises I'll be doing 
  • We'll also include a note about the equipment you'll need for each workout
