If you've been reading the blog for a long time, you've probably read quite a bit about my big career shift (I hope I'm not boring you/becoming a broken record?). And if you're a pretty dedicated reader, you may have caught the post that I wrote about Ben's career change back in November 2013, when we first moved to Cape Cod.
But this week's podcast is the first time that Ben and I have gotten together to each share our stories and discuss what it takes to make big changes actually happen; We laugh, Ben rattles off a list of complaints, we quote cheesy motivational posters, and in the end, we hope to show you that big career shifts are very possible, they just take hard work, passion, and a great support system. Here's the episode description: This episode is for anyone and everyone who might be thinking about making a scary job transition, attempting a big career change, or leaving a full-time job to pursue a passion or start a business. Both Ben and I have made somewhat drastic career changes in the past 5 years or so--Ben within his same field and mine in a totally different field--so in the first half of the episode, we share those stories and experiences with you. In the second half of the episode, we discuss what we learned from these big transitions and we each share 3 tips for those who might want to make a similar transition or shift gears in some way. You can listen to the episode below OR by downloading and/or subscribing in iTunes or Stitcher (be sure you search "Starr Struck Radio").
A couple of other things:
1. We'll be answering listener questions + responding to listener tweets/emails in our final episode of season 1, episode #20! If you'd like to write in with a question about anything + everything, tweet at @starrstruckblog OR email marycatherine@starrstruckblog.com. 2. If you want more content related to career + job transitions, here are some of my past posts on the subject:
3. Here's the post about Ketchup that we mentioned at the beginning of the show: Take Everything But the Ketchup. 4. If you're new to Starr Struck Radio, you can find the FAQs (how to listen, description of the show, etc.) here. Thank you for listening! 5/11/2015 11:52:48 pm
Hi there, just thought I'd let you know my nine-year old son's current 'First World Problem'. He said to tell you both, that he's 'Really sad that the supermarket has run out of his 'Chocolate Orange special edition hand soap''. Apparently, the usual strawberry hand soap is now just not good enough! ha, ha! Jane x

My question for the last episode is a follow-up to your Two Ships Passing in the Night episode. Have you found more ways to connect and has the podcast helped with bringing you guys closer together?
