Oh me, oh my, what a wonderfully full week. I'm exhausted (in a good, physical way), and am so excited about this upcoming weekend, just so that I can get some much-needed nights of super sleep. [Super sleep = full, 10-hour nights of uninterrupted snooze time on both Friday and Saturday nights. Is that too much for a girl to ask for these days?] But, before I fall asleep at my keyboard, lets get to my simple, sensory joys of the week, shall we? What brought you joy over the past 7 days? Here are a few things that made me smile: HEAR: "Shiver Shiver" by Walk the Moon This song just makes me happy. I think it's celebratory tone is perfect for a Friday, and I hope it makes you feel just as uplifted and energized as it does me :) I've been loving Walk the Moon lately (if you subscribe to my newsletter, you probably already know this!), and this song is just one of my faves. You can listen below. SEE: #hashtag by Jimmy Fallon and JT If you haven't seen this yet, you must. I posted it to Facebook yesterday, but I think it's worth posting again here, just in case you missed it. Why do I love this video? Because I heart JF and JT, I think hashtags are the best, and it made me seriously laugh out loud. Watch it below: TASTE: Homemade Applesauce [In a little apple container! SO cute!] On Wednesday night, I went to my friend Sara's place for dinner + New Girl watching (yes, this is the same Sara whose dresses I've been painting!). After dinner, she brought out some homemade applesauce for dessert. Not only was the applesauce totally delicious (she served it warm!), but it was also dished up into these cute little vintage apple containers that used to be her Grandmother's. How adorable can you be? SMELL: "Gone Chocolate" sweets shop in Cape Cod You guys, I haven't had fudge in years, and wow, do I love it. While strolling around downtown Osterville last weekend, Ben and I walked into an adorable little fudge shop. The smell, the samples, the sights! Wowee. I bought a little piece of "Penuche Walnut" fudge, and it was to die for. So yeah, this should also go under "TASTE." I think I need to learn how to make fudge... TOUCH: My new "I'm just here for the savasana" sweatshirt = IN LOVE I know this sweatshirt is super cheesy, and I know that it's probably a little weird for a teacher to wear it, but it brings me joy. To me, savasana is basically the best thing ever--it's all about letting go and completely relaxing, and I want to wear a sweatshirt that promotes that. So, when the weather was finally cool enough this week, I wore it to teach my Tuesday night classes. It made me happy and I think it definitely made a couple of my students smile ;) Oh, and it's basically the softest, most comfortable thing I've ever worn, so that helps. I hope that your week was also full o'simple, sensory pleasures. If you get a chance, try to stop and reflect on them today. It feels really good to do so--I promise :) Now, lets all get ready for a weekend of super sleep...yippeee!

Walk the Moon makes me so happy too! I saw them live last week at the 9:30 club. Their energy was amazing...my calves still hurt from jumping so much. I couldn't help but to think of surya namaskar A when they broke into Anna Sun. :) I also share your crush on JT & JF (their History of Raps are my FAVORITE!). I picked up some tickets this week for the JT show next Feb. Squeee!!! My inner teenager is so excited!! Comments are closed.
