Happy almost-Halloween! Fun that it's on a Saturday this year, isn't it? For the first time ever, we have a house in a neighborhood that I hear gets *tons* of trick-or-treaters, so Ben and I are staying in with our little hotdog (Sayde's costume, Take 2, since it didn't work out last year...) to hand out candy and meet all of our neighborhood kids. Should be interesting! But before we talk weekend plans, lets talk SJOTW. What brought you happiness over the past week or so? Can you find the time to reflect today? Here are a few of my simple, sensory joys of the week: HEAR: "Hello" by Adele (I mean, hello00o, what else could I possibly have been listening to over the past week?) Last Friday, right after publishing my SJOTW, I saw that this beauty had hit the airwaves. I immediately pre-ordered her new album and have been listening to this song on repeat ever since. I feel like I've been in Adele withdrawal for the past few years and this song brought me back to life. I am DYING for the full album and can't wait until 11/20. Get ready for months of belting out emotionally-laden songs in your cars, ladies. Oh, and you can listen below, obviously: SEE: Your response to my new tank/top designs! OMG, you guys, I was blown away by your feedback re: my new shirt designs! Thank you SO much for the support, positivity, and all of your votes! So glad you guys like dogs + comfy yoga clothes as much as I do ;) Pre-orders will open up early next week, so stay tuned for winners/final designs...oh, and if you haven't voted for your fave design yet, you can do so through tomorrow {click here to cast your vote}. TASTE: Pesto all the way from Italy I brought some pesto back from Tuscany as a little gift for Ben, and we finally enjoyed it last weekend when we had friends over for dinner. It was SO good! And it took me back to my week there, which was so recent, but at the same time, feels like a distant memory... SMELL: Homemade chocolate chip cookies baking in the oven {Made by my husband, of course!} While making cookies from scratch on Sunday, Ben said, "Is it nice having a husband who bakes? I'm just asking..." Ha! My answer? "Yes, yes it is. It's lovely." And then I proceeded to lick the spatula as the cookies baked in the oven. Yum. TOUCH: Haircut I got my hair cut by the incredible Kate Scott yesterday (Cape Cod peeps: if you don't already go to her, you should). My hair has never looked better than the 4 times that I've had it cut + styled by her, and it feels SO much healthier! Before yesterday it felt like cardboard and looked like limp noodles, so this is a big improvement ;) That's it from me! I hope your week was full of simple, sensory joys, too. Oh, and a few more logistical notes for you:
Have a great weekend + fabulous Halloween, everyone! Bummed I can't make the Branding Essentials date AGAIN...I do look forward to attending in the (hopefully) not so distant future. Also just casted my vote...adorable! My goodness, you are one busy girl...what will you think of next?! PS- I have to tell you I had a good chuckle over "limp noodles" haha! Have a great weekend :) Comments are closed.
