The last week of October has come + gone and here we are! November and the holidays are coming...woah.
I have good news from my little corner of the world: it seems that our horrible sleep blip is over (knock on wood + fingers crossed!). I *think* I can safely say that now that it's been a full week without any of those same issues; I'm sure we'll have more nighttime issues again in the future, but at least that particular transition seems to have passed. Phew. How was your week? Full of simple joys, I hope? Here are a few of the things that made me smile over the past 7 days... HEAR: "Real Peach" by Henry Jamison You know when you hear a song and immediately know you love it? That's what happened with this song; I was working and listening to a random Spotify playlist this week, and this song came on. I immediately added it to my library and have listened to it multiple times over the past few days. So good! You can listen below: SEE: Charlie Mae the crazy monkey girl! When Charlie Mae gets excited, wants to show off, or wants to roughhouse, she starts doing all of these amazing baby acrobatics and it is the funniest, cutest thing ever. She's not walking yet, but man can she move her body in some crazy ways! She crawls in super fast circles (like a dog chasing it's tail), bounces up and down on her bottom until she is airborne and flies up and forward onto her hands, and loves to lie down and throw her legs around in the air like a bucking bronco. She's cuckoo and I love it so much! TASTE: Apple-Juice Infused Dried Cranberries from Whole Foods Have you ever tried these dried cranberries? Instead of being sweetened with sugar, they're sweetened with apple juice, which makes them much less sweet but still sweet enough to eat and enjoy. I'm in love with them! I put them on my salad, eat them solo as a snack (Charlie Mae loves them, too!), put them in Oatmeal, etc. Delicious + so seasonal. SMELL: Rain It's been pouring here for the past 2 days, and while it isn't the best to get soaked every time that you go outside, it has been great weather for just hunkering down in my studio with a cup of tea + a dog in my lap and getting to work. I had some productive past couple of days and am thankful for that! Also, the rain feels extra fall-ish, which is fun. TOUCH: Assists during my Teaching Tune-Up teacher workshop last weekend I love teaching teachers SO much. Last weekend's training with a bunch of inspiring local yoga teachers was super enjoyable and reenergizing for me, and it was such a great reminder of how much I love teaching and how nuanced yoga teaching really is. A huge thanks to all of the ladies who joined me! Oh, and it was awesome getting all of their great hands-on assists as we practiced assisting, of course. And there you have it! I hope you have a wonderful weekend full of Halloween festivities + simple pleasures :) Last but definitely not least...DRUMROLL PLEASE...our giveaway winner! Congrats to Mary Beth H.!
