A few of the simple, sensory joys that brought me happiness over the past week... HEAR: Music in Hip Hop Yoga last Friday I've already mentioned a lot of my SJOTW from my trip to DC, but what I haven't mentioned is the amazing music spun by DJ Marq Few in Hip Hop yoga last week. OMG, he was fabulous (as always!)! But there was one song in particular that made me really happy when it came on, and it's below (#throwback): PS. Cape Cod Yogis--I'm teaching Hip Hop on the Cape next Saturday, 10/25 at Power Yoga of Cape Cod Dennisport! 6:30-8pm. Sign up now to reserve your space. I am SO excited :)
SEE: Changing leaves The leaves are changing on the Cape and it's GORGEOUS! I got back from DC and after being gone for just a few days, and I could see the difference--it looked even more like fall here. Yesterday Sayde and I went on a walk in the woods and I just couldn't get enough of all of the colors. TASTE: Homemade lattes, both Chai and Decaf ;) My friend Sara has a latte maker and now I want one. While visiting, I enjoyed multiple decaf lattes and chai lattes {at home!} and they were delicious and SUCH fun treats! I don't know why, but something about the foam at the top just makes you feel special. Next household investment, I'm thinking? SMELL: Lavender, aka the scent of Tranquil Space Anyone who has practiced yoga at Tranquil Space will tell you that it smells AMAZING there. The second you walk in, BAM! Lavender and incense and yumminess and total relaxation. It was so nice to enjoy this sensory experience again. I think I used to take it for granted! TOUCH: Flannel Sheets I've used them as a SJOTW before, but I must mention them again and here's why: On Sunday night, when I was packing up in DC, I was talking to Ben on the phone and he said, "Sayde and I prepared a special surprise for you for when you get home..." I got really excited and started thinking about all of the different things it could be, and then he said, "We put flannel sheets on the bed." Don't get me wrong, I love flannel sheets, but I was kind of disappointed that the surprise was just a sheet change. BOR-ING. Then I got back, crawled in bed on Monday night, and I took it all back. Nothing like that softness on the skin! It was a great surprise :) What made you smile over the past 7 days? I hope you can find some time to reflect {with gratitude} today... Oh, and a HAPPY BIRTHDAY shout-out to one of my besties, Jessica!

Do you see the image of a monkey's face in the latte, or do I need to rest my eyes a little?
