You know those weeks when you feel like you're just rushing around from one scheduled event/appointment/meeting to another? That's how this week felt. It was fast, hectic [not in a bad way, just lots of moving parts], a little crazy, and just like that, now it's over! Phew.
How was your week? I hope you had a great Halloween and first day of November, and that you enjoyed lots of simple, sensory joys. Here are a few of the small things + experiences that brought me happiness over the past week... HEAR: "Latch Cover" by Moonrise Nation Y'all know I love a good cover, right? Found this one on Spotify this week and it's SO good. Listen below: SEE: Truly Madly Guilty by Liane Moriarty I'm reading this book right now and despite the somewhat cheesy title, I'm really enjoying it. Moriarty's books always have me staying up a little later than I'd like reading, but only because they're such page-turners. I definitely recommend this one--especially if you, like me, enjoyed Big Little Lies or any of her other books. TASTE: Good ol' Cheerios Even before we had Charlie Mae, Ben got on a Cheerios kick and started buying these big family size boxes and eating them at random times--later in the evening after dinner, with eggs on the weekends, as a snack--so I got into the habit of eating Cheerios every once in a while, too. Now that we have a baby, Cheerios are WAY more of a part of my world (she loves them) and I have to say, they really are tasty little buggers. I had a bowl with banana sliced up in it one afternoon this week and it sure hit the spot! SMELL: Lavender Shampoo + Conditioner {Whole Foods Brand} SO simple, but here it is: we ran out of shampoo + conditioner last week so when I was at Whole Foods doing our grocery shopping (anyone else loving the lower prices at WF now that they've joined-up with Amazon?), I picked up some of their 365 Brand Lavender Shampoo + Conditioner. I can't really say whether or not it's a successful hair care product, but wow, do I love the subtle scent of lavender when I'm showering. Lavender will always be one of my most beloved scents (I think this is because of my days at Tranquil Space, where lavender was a constant part of the experience), so I'll take it anywhere and everywhere I can get it. TOUCH: Little Ducky snuggles Charlie Mae dressed as a duck for Halloween (obviously) and she was the sweetest, cutest little duck ever. Once she got used to wearing her costume (it took a little time) she just went about her business as a duck and it killed me. Also, she's already super cuddly, but her costume was really soft + squishy so it was extra fun getting duck snuggles from her while she was wearing it. That's it for this week! I feel like I could go on and on because this week was so full of simple joys, but as usual, I'll stop there for now ;) Two quick reminders before I jump off of the blog for the week:
