A few of the simple, sensory joys that brought me pleasure this week...
HEAR: Serial Podcast Everyone has been talking about it, so I finally started listening last weekend, and I am HOOKED. Haven't listened? Do yourself a favor and start today/this weekend--it's that good. Not familiar? Serial is a podcast where they unfold one nonfiction story, week by week, over the course of a season. This season is about a murder that happened in 1999 and it's incredibly interesting. SEE: Family + Friends* This week has been a blast because we've gotten to spend so much time with loved ones! We went to dinner with a bunch of Ben's high school friends + their sig others on Wednesday, obviously spent yesterday with family, and have dinner plans with more out-of-towners tonight. It's been a good week of QT with great people. *Of course I didn't take ANY pictures of family and friends, so instead, I'm including a pic of Ben and Sayde, as per ushe ;) TASTE: Thanksgiving Feast [DUH] I think we would all agree that this is the 'taste' SJOTW for almost everyone in America this week. No explanation needed... SMELL: Pumpkin pies baking in the oven Again, this one is obvious, but it's real! They smell SOOOOOO good, don't they? "Magical," as Ben put it when he came inside and caught a whiff of the scent. Also, I'm really excited that we still have an entire Pumpkin Pie to enjoy over the next couple of days (!). TOUCH: Assisting my Thanksgiving morning yoga class I love teaching Thanksgiving yoga! It's such a special class with such a unique and inspiring energy (from the students, not the teacher), and giving people warm, loving assists feels like a really tangible way to start the day by giving back to others. Thanks to everyone who came out and celebrated with me! Enjoy your long weekend (if you have one?) and please find some time to reflect + unwind (if you can?)! Be back tomorrow with an abridged Roundup... 11/28/2014 02:24:47 pm
There are really lots of things to be thankful! Appreciate what you have and the things that you enjoy. It can be very surprising to know that even the simplest things can bring enormous joy. Be grateful -- all the time! Happy Thanksgiving! Comments are closed.
