Welp, here we are; less than one week until Thanksgiving, which means we're entering the holiday season. Super fun, but also super crazy! As we move into this simple pleasure-filled (but also quite hectic) season, lets pause to reflect on our simple, sensory joys from the past week...what made you smile, pause, or sigh with relief? My SJOTW are below. HEAR: Adele's 25 (!!!!!!!!!) I woke up, opened my eyes, and then a few minutes later, opened my iTunes--and just like magic, it was there! I've been listening since I woke up, and of course, I think it's incredible. So glad she's back and that I'll have a soundtrack for the rest of 2015 (and probably well into 2016, too.) You can listen to one of my fave songs from the album below (although it was *really* hard to pick just one): SEE: My 2016 Planner I picked up this adorable 2016 planner when I was in DC a few weeks ago, and I can't tell you how much joy it's been bringing me. It's a 17-month calendar, so I was able to transition into using it right away, which, if you're like me, is a dream come true ;) It's pretty, gives me plenty of space for lists, reminders, + appointments, and has sweet little inspiring quotes at the top of each page. Yesplease. TASTE: The Local Juice Cold-Pressed Juices It's been a long time since I've picked up a cold-pressed juice, simply because my daily routine hasn't taken me anywhere that sells them on the regs. This week, however, was different, and I was able to enjoy the two newest recipes of my fave Cape Cod juice co., The Local Juice! Sipping these juices while working in my studio this week was divine (and made me feel like a big city artist again ;) SMELL: Young Living Stress Away Essential Oil When I was in DC, a wonderfully thoughtful fellow teacher (shout-out Kat!) gifted me with a little roll-on bottle of this essential oil, which she said she swears by. Um, she was right! It's so lovely! I've been rolling it on my wrists ever since she gave it to me and I'm now a fan. Want to pick one up to use during the holiday season? You can order from Kat here. TOUCH: Burt's Bees Lip Balm surplus You know how no matter how much chapstick you have around the house, you can never find it when you need it? Ben and I have been suffering from this issue lately, so I bought a new 4-pack of Burt's Bees this week and stuck them all over the house. It's been pretty great having chapstick within arms reach everywhere I go, now lets see how long this lasts... Other SJOTW? Taking a cranberry bog walk with a friend in the middle of the day on Tuesday (so nice to have a companion during my midday walk for once!), receiving and then shipping out all of my holiday greeting card pre-orders, and lots of cold weather snuggles with Sayde ;) Hope you have a great weekend! Oh, and for those who pre-ordered one of my new tanks or pullovers, get excited: I'll have them in-hand early next week and they'll be shipping out right away! Yippee! I cannot wait to receive them.
