Another day, another SJOTW. That's how we roll around here in Starr Struck-land. How was your week? Full of simple joys, I hope? I had a wonderful week that went by crazy quickly but consisted of mainly yoga-related activities, which is always a good thing (!). Also, although it's not listed as an official SJOTW below, I have to mention that all of your comments on my 3 Year Blogiversary post have srrrriously warmed my heart. I've adored learning about all of you, reading your feedback about the blog, and getting ideas from your requests. Thank you for all of the love! I'm bursting with gratitude over here on this side of the comp ;) Anyways, lets get to it! What brought you joy this past week? Here are a few of the things that made me smile over the past 7 days... HEAR: "There Is So Much Magnificence" by Steve Gold This song is on my new March playlist, which I {finally} put up this week. It's one of those songs that I absolutely love, but have never put on a playlist until now. I don't know why I waited this long, because every time that I heard it in class this week I got really happy. It's such a simple and wonderful song! You can listen below. SEE: Todoist Oh, you guys! I've found my new to-do list love/obsession! You may recall that I used to use TeuxDeux, but I stopped using it when they started charging, and just went back to plain old paper and pen to-do lists. But now, my life has changed! Todoist is insane and wonderful! If you're a to-do list junkie, like me, you should check it out, as I've been LOVING it this week. You can organize your to-dos by "project" or category, you can add websites as items on your lists, and you can even add a plugin to your gmail so that you can turn emails into items on your to-do list! So many more amazing functions that they have definitely just gained a user4life. [Also, a bigger SEE is that one of my besties had a baby this past week, but since I've only seen pics, we'll save this one for when I actually meet the little guy later this month...] TASTE: TJ's White Cheddar Corn Puffs Ready to be addicted to something that has NO nutritional value whatsoever? Great! Then pick up a bag of these bad boys. We're a total Corn Puffs household: I love 'em, Ben loves 'em, + Sayde loves 'em (obvs). They're kind of like eating flavored air, so I like to pretend that they don't count in the grand scheme of eating/nutrition. That way you can basically eat a whole bag without feeling guilty at all ;) SMELL: Emergen-C Vitamin C Packets (Lemon Lime) For maybe the first time ever (EVER?!), I have come out of a sinus infection without having to go on antibiotics. Hooray! It's a Christmas miracle! I mean, really, you have no idea how insane this is for me. I credit many things (Cape Cod? Netipot? Mucinex? Yoga? Ame Wren?), but I think I definitely owe some of my rapid healing to the Kombucha that I drank on Sunday night AND to these little Emergen-C packets, which I've been enjoying every day for the past week or so. Hooray for healing without hard-core drugs! TOUCH: New assists and massage techniques As a teacher, I've learned a lot this week. You already know that I spent last weekend in a wonderful training, but then yesterday, I met with a massage therapist (and yoga teacher) to exchange tricks of the trade and learn from each other. She taught me some fabulous massage techniques that I didn't know before and am excited to use in my classes. Oh, the power of touch in yoga! So there you have it. This weekend I'll be co-teaching a Yoga Reaches Out Benefit Class at Power Yoga of Cape Cod in Harwich, so if you're local, come check it out! It will be a wonderfully heated, intense, 2-hr practice led by 5 or 6 of us PYCC teachers ;) Have a wonderful friday! Comments are closed.
