This was such a great week! Not too crazy, a nice amount of productive, some pretty days despite a weird snowstorm on Monday, and we got some exciting baby news (more on that below)...I'm feeling extra grateful for where things are in my life right now, and hope you're feeling the same way ;)
What brought you joy over the past week or so? A few of my simple, sensory joys from the past 7 days are below... HEAR: Speakers at the Digital Marketing Innovation Summit Yesterday, I attended an event here on Cape Cod all about Digital Marketing. I know this is a cheesy thing to put down as a simple joy, but here's the thing: I haven't gone to a single in-person conference, training, or event for my business since moving to the Cape, and it was really nice to take a day to just focus on a topic that interests me. There's always so much to learn (and do!) in this swiftly-changing space, and I loved carving out some time to learn from the experts. Yay Cape Cod for hosting an event like this! SEE: Our Baby!!!! You guys, we had our 20-week ultrasound this week (at 19 weeks, due to scheduling) and it was INCREDIBLE! There is a little human being living inside of me and he/she has a beautiful tiny skeleton, face, feet, hands--and we saw all of this! {Mind-blowing.} Yes, we did learn the sex of our baby, but are keeping it secret until we tell our families and close friends...stay tuned for that exciting info ;) It was such a special day! I could sit in that ultrasound room and just watch our baby move around for hours... TASTE: Salad, salad, + more salad I've always been a salad girl; I love all kinds of greens, all kind of toppings (the more veggies and add-ons, the better!), and you all know that I've been on a balsamic vinegar kick during my pregnancy thus far. That being said, despite eating crazy amounts of salad my entire life, I have truly kicked things up a notch over the past couple of months. Each day, I have a huuuuuugggggee mixed green salad with both lunch and dinner--we can't keep enough greens in the house and I'm going through baby carrots + feta cheese like its my job. I don't think this obsession is going anywhere anytime soon (and I'm just glad it's salad instead of ice cream...although that sounds good, too ;) SMELL: Slow-Cooker Chicken Taco Soup I'm starting to get better at putting meals together in the slow-cooker, which is my first real foray into making dinners for the family (oops!). Until now, I have basically relied on Ben to make ALL of our main meals, so it's been nice adding a few basic recipes to my repetoire--even if they are all crockpot dishes ;) I made this recipe for the first time this week and I think it's pretty delicious. Only change I made? I substituted chicken stock for the beer. TOUCH: Our new Casper mattress We got a new, king-sized mattress and it has been a GAME-CHANGER! If you listen to the podcast, you'll know that up until now--for the past 7 years of living together--Ben and I have shared a full-sized mattress [with Sayde sleeping in between us since she joined the fam]. Yep, it was *pretty* tight in there. But, after trying to convince him for months, I finally got Ben to agree that we needed a king-sized bed recently (I think my growing belly + our bedroom change caused him to give in), and our new mattress arrived late last week. We've been sleeping on it since Saturday night and it is seriously heaven. Our old mattress was bad. Oh, and I have to give a shout-out to Casper, the company we purchased our mattress from, because I am just in love with their biz (this is not sponsored, I swear): Casper mattresses are memory foam mattresses that come in a box (I know, a box!). You open it up and the mattress expands--you don't need box springs and it's the most supportive, comfortable bed I've ever slept on. Plus, you can sleep on it for up to 100 days and if you don't like it, they'll come pick it back up and you won't be charged. Such a great biz model! If you decide to purchase one, you can use this link to get $50 off (and to give us $50, too!). Other SJOTW? Dinner out with good friends, teaching "The Business of Yoga" to a fabulous Teacher Training group last weekend, a few great yoga classes + two challenging Barre classes, and of course, lots of epic snuggle sessions with Sayde ;) Hope you have a wonderful weekend and can find some time to reflect on your SJOTW today!

Crock pots are a game-changer! I know how you feel about tacos, so you have to try this recipe: http://www.lovewellblog.com/2013/09/here-taste-this-slow-cooker-salsa.html
