...And woosh! Another week flies by! So glad I have SJOTW to force me to pause and reflect on this lovely life and all of the simple pleasures that it contains... Here's what brought me joy over the past week or so. What about you? HEAR: "Fever to the Form" by Nick Mulvey This song is on my June playlist, and I've been loving it this month. Must learn more about Nick Mulvey and download more of his music stat! You can listen below: SEE: My BFFs new baby :) As I mentioned Wednesday, one of my closest friends had her [or as we've been saying, our] first baby this week, and the daily pics have been making me to melt. He's so sweet, she's so happy + in love, and the whole thing is just amazing. I can't WAIT to meet this little guy! I already adore him. TASTE: Four Seas Ice Cream {Aka: First ice cream of the summer!} OMG. One of the [many] good things about living on Cape Cod is that there are amazing ice cream shops everywhere you turn; But we've been extra lucky in that each of the two houses that we've lived in since moving here have been right around the corner from some of the most renowned + delicious spots on the island. Last Friday we went over to Four Seas for our first ice cream of the season, and as usual, it lived up to the hype. YUM. I see many more ice-cream filled summer nights ahead of us... ;) SMELL: Fresh paint We painted our guest bedroom last weekend and we LOVE it! Surprise, surprise, we painted it grey. I guess we're obsessed with this color for walls, although we did use a new shade of grey this time...? Anyways, it feels SO good to have another room painted and I'm looking forward to getting the curtains hung this weekend and more art on the walls. First guests coming 1 week from today! TOUCH: Hiking Backpack My big old hiking backpack, which I haven't used since I was studying abroad in Europe, arrived in the mail this week (My dad had to ship it to me from home). I haven't seen this thing in years and it brought back tons of memories plus got me very excited about my upcoming trip to Peru, which is happening July 1-11th. I'm partly nervous about this big trip, but I'm also thrilled to be seeing my brother--who has been gone for almost 2 years while in the Peace Corps--and to travel around this country that he has called home for so long now. Eek! I hope that your week was equally full of SJOTW. If you can, take some time to appreciate them today! Oh, and would you do me a favor and like Starr Struck's Facebook Page if you haven't already? I'm super close to 1000 likes and would love to get there today (#SJOTW)! Thanks ;) Have a gorgeous weekend, everyone! Comments are closed.
