Another Friday, another week closer to meeting my little bundle of joy, woot woot! Can't handle how quickly these days are flying by... How was your week? Did you have a good one? Did it pass as quickly as mine did? If so, here's a way to slow things down: take a moment to reflect on your simple, sensory joys of the week {with gratitude}. Some of my fave SJOTW are below... HEAR: Loren Kate's album "Your Own Little Ocean" Years ago, when I was teaching prenatal yoga in Arlington, VA, one of my students (my first prenatal student ever, actually) gave me this CD, saying she loved listening to it while she was pregnant and I might like to use it in my prenatal classes. Flash forward to today, and I recently found the CD and started listening to it--and she was right, it's perfect for when you're expecting! The artist wrote and recorded the album when she was pregnant and each song is about the experience/about her baby. It's beautiful. You can listen to one of my faves, "Ukeabye Baby," below: SEE: My dad! My dad came in town on Sunday and has been visiting all week--and it's been SO fun having him here! Even though he'll be back soon to meet our newest family member, he wanted to come visit while I was still pregnant (so sweet) and I'm so glad that he did. We've had a wonderful week working in the mornings, sneaking away to the beach in the afternoons, yoga-ing in the evenings (he takes class, I teach), and just enjoying each other's company + this gorgeous Cape Cod summer. Having him here has forced me to slow down over the past couple of days, which was much-needed and has been wonderful. TASTE: Flatbread Pizza from Crisp We went to dinner at this local pizza place on Wednesday night, and man-oh-man, had I forgotten how delicious it is! Plus, we ate outside, it was an incredible, cool summer evening, and we had great company. It was so fun and tasty! SMELL: Essential oils being diffused while I work ;) One of my fabulous clients gave me a bunch of essential oil samples a few weeks ago, and I finally got a diffuser and started diffusing them this past week (I've been doing it to figure out which ones I like because I want to diffuse these oils in my hospital room during labor). Obviously they smell incredible, and it's been fun including new scents in my daily life. Also, diffusers are pretty kewl ;) TOUCH: Freezing cold ocean water On Wednesday, my dad and I took a day trip out to a wild, outer beach here on Cape Cod called Marconi. The water was insanely cold and the waves were quite wild, but we made ourselves get in and it felt SO refreshing! It was a little crazy to be diving in and out of those waves while 38 weeks pregnant, but I think the babe enjoyed the rocking motion of my body being thrown around, ha! As you can probably tell, this week has been a lovely one with just the right amount of both productivity and time off to soak up these last few weeks (days?) without a little one. Oh, and another SJOTW? All of your sweet responses to both my Maternity Leave post + nursery sneak peek ;) Thanks for being such a great community + support system during this new chapter of my life! Have a wonderful weekend and don't forget to reflect on your SJOTW today if you can find the time...

Always, always enjoy "Simple Joys of the Week" and this one is so very beautiful! How perfect to spend some special "Daddy's Girl" moments with your Dad before the little one makes her appearance. Essential oils have become a passion, especially since my Son gave me a diffuser with rotating colored lights. Love the album- you always introduce exceptional music to me. Thank-you for this lovely post, you are in my thoughts as your special day approaches.
