A few of the simple, sensory pleasures that brought me joy over the past week... HEAR: "All About That Bass" by Meghan Trainor As a lover of music, all things that promote positive body image, and fabulous voices, I can't help but adore Meghan Trainor's debut single, "All About That Bass." Yeah, I know it's all over the radio, but that's because it's fun, clever, and totally uplifting. You can listen to the song below, and if you haven't seen it, you should watch the video, too. It's pretty fab ;) Beeteedubs, Meghan Trainor was born in 1993. If that doesn't make you feel old, I don't know what will!!! SEE: Pics of our Fall 2015 Tuscany Yoga Retreat location (eeekk!!!!) We're officially booked and I'm SOOO excited! As you may have seen, this week Kimberly and I finalized all of the details and booked our 2015 Art + Asana retreat to Tuscany. We are dying to share the info with you, but have to put a few more things together before we do so. In the meantime, I'll just look through the retreat center's photo gallery for the 1000th time and start planning + dreaming... TASTE: Taco Tuesday at Guapos Ben and I have started a new tradition and it's been pretty great. We're only two weeks in, but here it is: He comes to my Tuesday night yoga class and afterward, we pop over to Guapos, a "tortilla shack" that's right next door, and enjoy 2-for-1 tacos and some of the BEST salsa I've ever had. Delicious and such a fun treat in the middle of the week ;) And yes, this means that Ben is getting back into yoga, which is another SJOTW! SMELL: Dirt on Sayde's paws Sayde doesn't get to go off leash very often (because of her, ahem, issues), but this week, I took her to an empty cranberry bog for a run. I let her go and we ran around the bog together, and wow, was it wonderful to see her so happy, free, and well-behaved. Maybe someday this will be the norm, but until then, I'll just remember the experience when I smell her dirt-covered paws ;) TOUCH: Cleaning out the garage I know, this does not sound very joyful, but oh, the finished product was! Our garage had become our dumping ground for everything that didn't have a place in the house, and it felt SO good to clean it out last weekend. Now everything has a place and every time I go in there I feel more relaxed. I love that about de-cluttering--the lasting effects are priceless. So there you have it! I hope your long weekend is FULL of simple, sensory pleasures, and that you can take some time to pause and appreciate them ;) Also, in an attempt to take this holiday weekend "off," there will be no Roundup tomorrow. Is there something you can cut out this weekend so you have more time to enjoy relaxing? I urge you to think about it...

Just catching up on your blog, I've been slacking...did you know that Meghan Trainor is also from Cape Cod?? Doesn't that make her even more likable? Comments are closed.
