What a fabulous week! I know things can change on a dime in baby world, but this was another great one for us.
Charlie Mae has been SO much fun lately, plus she's getting great sleep, we're getting great sleep, she's starting to be able to stay a bit longer at day care so I'm actually getting some work done, and the weather has been gorgeous. I'm trying my best to appreciate all of this while it lasts! How was your week? I hope it was full of simple pleasures and that you were able to soak them up. Here are a few of my favorite sensory joys from the past 7 days... HEAR: "Issues" by Julia Michaels Oh, this song! It's been in my head for weeks now and I love it so much. Then I heard this acoustic version the other day and I fell in love even more. Julia Michaels has such a beautiful voice! Listen/watch below: SEE: My Therapist I hadn't been to therapy since a few weeks before Charlie Mae was born (over 8 months ago!), and yesterday I *finally* returned; as expected, it was great to be back. Taking some time to talk about all of the recent changes in my life and to star processing some of the emotional stuff that's wrapped up in all of those changes felt really wonderful. Yay for therapy! TASTE: Crockpot Chicken Enchiladas Looking for a super easy/fast dinner idea? Here you go: put chicken breasts in the crockpot, add sliced peppers and onions, sprinkle enchilada seasoning over everything and cook on low for 8 hours. When it's done shred the chicken and serve on whole wheat tortillas with cheese, avocado, salsa, etc. THE BEST! We had these for dinner a couple of nights this week and they were so delicious. One of our favorite easy meals. SMELL: Driving with the windows down You know that feeling when it's finally warm enough to roll down the windows and let in the fresh air when you're cruising around town? That--and the scent of crisp, spring air coming in through the windows--happened this week. I loved it, Charlie Mae loved it, Sayde loved it; we were a happy bunch in the ol' Subaru. I don't think I could be any happier about spring weather if I tried ;) TOUCH: Yoga on the back deck I did my first outdoor home practice of 2017 yesterday and it was glorious! I was on the back deck in the sunshine, Charle Mae napping inside and Sayde napping on the ground next to me (and for a lot of the time, on my mat right in the way...), with the breeze in my hair and the birds chirping. Ahhhh...I'm relaxed again just thinking about it. And that's it for this week! I hope you all have a wonderful Easter weekend! I'm off to the craft store this afternoon to pick up some stuff to make my very first Easter Basket [for Charlie Mae, of course]...I'll post pics to Insta if it turns out pic-worthy, haha ;) See you back here on Monday!
