Since I had so much fun sharing my simple joys "of the month" last week, I've decided to make it a weekly post on Friday mornings :) I hope you agree that there are too many simple joys in life to do it just once per month! So, here's a list of the simple, sensory experiences that have brought me happiness this past week. What's on your list? ![]() Hear: The song Going Through Changes by Eminem From his latest (and I think, best ) album, Recovery. SUCH a powerful song about his battle with drug addiction. A lot of the songs on this album are much more honest and raw than the songs on his previous albums, and this song is a great example of that. He has gone through so much over the past decade, and I think this album shows that he's come out stronger and clearer than ever. I love this song because I think he allows his vulnerable side to come out a bit--and, he sings the chorus, and I love when he does that. Best. Rapper. Ever. Preview the song below: ![]() Taste: Haagen-Dazs Five in Mint Heaven in an ice cream tub! Such a good spring treat AND it has only 5 ingredients (which I love! no nasty additives!): milk, cream, sugar, eggs, mint. Once you try it, you'll never go back. As a sidenote, in the BF's efforts to "get big" so he can lift more weight for Crossfit, he's had a lot more ice cream around the apartment lately. YUM...fun treat for me :) ![]() See: Candler Park Coasters My wonderful stepmother sent me these coasters as a Valentine's Day gift, along with a note saying "a little piece of home" :) These two coasters have images of our neighborhood printed on them--the one on the left is an image of the sign for my favorite breakfast place of all time, The Flying Biscuit Cafe. She found them at a small store up the street from their house, but they're by Custom Coasters by Hazel and she does them for a number of neighborhoods, cities, landmarks, bars, restaurants, etc. in Atlanta. So cute and a great gift for ATLiens :) ![]() Touch: TranqiliT clothing line. Made of 100% organic bamboo, TranquiliT is the most comfortable clothing I've ever worn. It feels amazing on the skin, moves with your body, and each piece can be worn in about 100 ways. AND, the label is designed by my boss, teacher, and friend--the famous Kimberly Wilson! TranquiliT is on my mind this week because the new spring collection launches THIS Sunday at Tranquil Space! Love it. ![]() Smell: Homemade bread baking in the oven (and by oven, I mean bread maker). See my post from earlier this week. Is that cheating? Maybe, but that really is the smell that brought me some simple, sensory joy this week :) Share: What brought you simple joy this week?
