I've been dying to share a few of the simple things that have been bringing me joy this month, and finally got a chance to sit down and get them all down on "paper." I've categorized by the 5 senses to make for fun & easy reading...enjoy! ![]() Hear: Adele's new CD, 21. Unbelievable. Can't get enough. Have been listening to it every chance I get and she just continues to blow me away. I absolutely loved her first CD, 19, but think that she's matured and taken things further with 21. Sounds like she was completely, naively in love during 19, and has become a bit jaded/been hurt since...but that's just my two cents :) Get a preview of one of my favorite songs, "Set Fire to the Rain" below. ![]() Taste: Two Leaves and a Bud Tea Sachets Not only are these organic tea sachets made of this beautiful little netting and filled with gorgeous whole leaf tea (looks like potpourri!), but they also taste like pure relaxation. They also did an amazing job with branding and package/product design, which I can't help but notice and love :) ![]() See: Inside the Painter's Studio by Joe Fig Given to me by the inspirational and ever-thoughtful Kimberly Wilson, this book is SUCH a fun read, especially for artists and painters. Joe Fig interviews 24 professional painters on their studio--not their work--but how they set up their painting table, how the way they set up their studio effects their work, etc. So inspiring and every time I open it up I want to go to my studio immediately and paint! Thanks, Kimberly :) ![]() Touch: Aura Cacia Sweet Almond Natural Skin Care Oil I suffer from the worst dry skin, especially on my hands and feet. When getting a manicure recently, the knowledgeable beauty blogger Julia Coney, from All About the Pretty, recommended that I rub a natural oil on my hands before going to sleep at night. So, I picked up this little joy from Whole Foods the next day and have been LOVING it! I just rub it on my hands and feet at night, put some lotion over, slip on some cotton socks, and voila, my skin is getting softer :) Plus, I love almonds, so that makes me happy, too! ![]() Smell: TOMS Shoes. So, this doesn't have anything to do with smell, I know that. But, sometimes new shoes have a nice smell (?) so I had to add (couldn't help myself!!). And actually, I don't have these shoes yet, but I'm completely obsessed with them and am going to buy a pair as soon as I get a second to run to the store, so that has to count for something. I love the silver glitters because they're SO fun, but will probably end up getting the black glitters because I always default to black. But, as most probably know by now, with every pair that is purchased, TOMS gives a pair to a child in need. Pretty cool and great karma :) Share: What has been bringing you simple joy this month? Namaste! Mary Catherine
