This is the story of Sayde and Snowman, or "Noman/Nomie" as we call him around our house: I took the video above to send to Sara (and her son Marshall) a few days into Sayde's relationship with Snowman. If you watch closely, you can see her nod in response to my question...
Over the next couple of months, snowman melted away. Just like a real-life snowman, made out of snow, he slowly disappeared with the coming of spring. All the exists now is his base.
She still carries him around, and plays with him, but it's just not the same. If there is anything that Sayde has learned from her relationship with Noman, it's the reality of impermanence. The only constant is change. Life is full of both love and loss... Especially when you can't help but chew on your BFF. I mean, right?

Wow, what a great story! I kept thinking about new relationships becoming comfortable, and how you must be careful not to wear down your partner when you feel easy enough in their presence to let your guard down and vent and be just a tiny bit negative-- SOMETIMES. It's easy to do and that person is not as tough as they seem either. Always still treat them like the shiny new valuable person they are every day. Cherish that MVT/MVP in your life.

OMG, I love how much deeper you took this, Kristin! Look at that, Sayde is getting us thinking about broader relationship concepts--I love it :) xo Comments are closed.
