All winter long, Sayde slept under the covers. She would start out in a little ball in between my legs (I would lie in supta baddha konasana while I read), and then eventually she would spread out and take up room beneath our feet.
It was basically the cutest thing ever and we loved watching her burrow underneath the comforter every night. However, as the weather has gotten warmer over the past few weeks, she's started to change things up. She no longer hurries to burrow all the way down but instead, opts to sleep in between me and Ben, head on one of our pillows, like a fellow human--albeit a much smaller one. The best part about this new sleep setup? Sayde and I get in some serious snuggle time--especially in the mornings. We spoon and/or lie face to face (as seen in the pics above) from at least 5am-6am every morning, and honestly, it's my favorite part of the day. SO. MUCH. LOVE. Oh, and please excuse my mullet in the second pic. I guess that's how my hair looks when I sleep (yikes!)... Comments are closed.
