I think that by now, most of you know how much I love my tea. In fact, when I found out that I was pregnant, that was one of my first thoughts: 'What about my tea habit?'
Luckily, my care provider assured me that continuing to drink the teas that are already a part of my [entire] day are perfectly fine for me and my pregnancy, so I haven't had to change *that much* when it comes to enjoying my daily cups. Which is good, because here's how tea factors into my days: I usually start the morning with a cup of black tea (I recommend Lipton Tea's Enticing Chai!). Sometimes I add a splash of milk and sometimes I don't, but my day has not officially begun until I've had my first sip. It's my morning ritual, along with feeding Sayde, doing a few yoga poses for my back, and then sitting down at my laptop to blog. I love it...
Then, in the afternoon, after lunch and after Sayde's daily walk, I'll brew another cup to enjoy as I settle in to work on a client project or to paint in my studio.
At this time, I'll usually enjoy an herbal tea, my new favorite of which is Lipton Tea's new Peach Mango (yum!). Pre-pregnancy I'd often sip on a cup of green tea in the afternoons (especially if I was headed to teach a yoga class and needed a little pick-me-up), but since I'm now limiting my caffeine, I've made the switch to herbal. Luckily, Lipton Tea combines real ingredients with their best herbal tea blends to create flavors that awaken the senses and still give me that boost without the caffeine ;)
In the evenings, I'll often have another cup of herbal tea right after dinner, just to close out my day and take things down a notch. To me, there's nothing more relaxing and grounding than a hot beverage at the end of a long day.
So, as you can see, my days really are full of tea--and I couldn't imagine it any other way! Are you a fellow tea-lover? If so, give Lipton Tea a try; their new black and herbal varieties and improved green teas refresh the tea experience with bold and stimulating flavors, such as Enticing Chai, Pure Green, Orange Passionfruit Jasmine and Peach Mango.
