As you all know, I'm no acrobatic ashtangi, but I do love playing with jumping in my practice, because there's just something about that feeling when you get it--you know? When you feel your core engage at the right time and all of your muscles are doing what they're supposed to be doing, and your alignment is spot on and then time slows down and you slow down a bit, mid-air... That feeling is worth all of the practice and hard work. Don't you think? So, although my jump-throughs aren't beautiful (and my first demo in this video is downright clunky!), I want to show you that ashtangi or not, you can introduce jump-throughs into your practice with the help of your new BFF the yoga block. I hope this video encourages you give it a try, especially if you haven't done so before! You can watch here or on my YouTube channel. And don't forget to subscribe so that you never miss an episode ;) PS. What do you think of my back porch as a video setting? Is the background noise too loud or does it work? Still figuring out the best places to tape in my new house... Comments are closed.
