Raise your hand if you need to detox. I hear ya! Let me tell you, I love me some Christmas cookies, but there's a time and a place for everything and it sure feels good to start cleansing the body and start fresh in the New Year... However, I know that often, getting back into the routine can be crazy busy, can leave you feeling frazzled, and can give you little time + space to get in a full practice. If this sounds like you/your life right now, then today's mini {tiny!} flow sequence is for you. It takes just 7 minutes--if you subtract my blabbering before and after the flow--and it feels amazing. I promise, you will be impressed by the heat that you can build and the opening that you can achieve in just 7 minutes. [This flow is also good for warming up the body if you're chilled and can't seem to shake it!] So, give it a try! Use this little flow on days that you may not be able to get to your mat for a full practice, or close your office door and do it during lunch, and allow the detox to begin... Oh, and this is just a little teaser for the yoga videos that I hope to put out in 2014! Will keep you posted on that ;) You can watch the video here or on my YouTube channel (where you can also subscribe to make sure you never miss an episode). Happy cleansing!

Hi Mary Catherine! Thank you for this "Mat Matters" episode, this is perfect for me! I'll definitely be using this to detox and for early mornings when my body isn't awake yet :) I also love this because it makes me feel like I'm in one of your classes at TS again!

Thanks Mary Catherine! That was a nice treat for a cold and snowy afternoon. An easy and refreshing sequence I did on the (carpeted) floor of my home office in thick wool socks. Thanks for demonstrating that yoga can be anywhere, anytime!
