This one is for my fellow teachers out there--woot woot! Today I'm talking to YOU and I want to talk connection and community, and more specifically, 5 small changes that you can make to your teaching in order to make your classes a more nurturing place to be. You may already be doing all 5 of these things in your classes, or you may not, and I'm not here to judge or point any fingers-- but rather, want to share these friendly reminders because I believe that they can make a huge difference to your students. I try my best to do all of these things when teaching, but do I do all of them 100% of the time? Nope. I try to, but sometimes I fall short, and that's okay. Remember, we can't be perfect, but constant introspection and learning and pushing to your edge is definitely a step in the right direction towards becoming the best teacher you can possibly be. Much love for my teachers out there (and especially for all of the new teachers who have just graduated from TT programs)--I know that teaching yoga can be very challenging and I feel ya! ;) You can watch the video here or subscribe to my YouTube channel to ensure that you never miss an episode. Thanks Mary Catherine. I totally agree with all of your points. I don't teach yoga, but as a student I love what you are recommending. I do facilitate a number of education workshops in other areas and I think all of your tips are universal and apply across "subjects". Thanks for sharing! From Dubai, Anna :-) PS Enjoy Costa Rica.
