Oh, wow. I'm SUPER obsessed with the work of today's featured artist, Teil Duncan--I mean, SUPER obsessed (do I sound creepy yet?). I adore everything about her paintings, from the subject matter, to the colors, to the visible brushstrokes, purposeful drips, and large swaths of paint, to the patterns and movement. Wow. Seeing as though we're in the middle of a heat wave here in DC, I think I'm also drawn to these paintings because they make me feel a little cooler and more laid back. When looking at them, I feel like I'm literally at the beach. I get lost in the scene and I can imagine the breeze of the ocean, the smells, the sounds, the sun. It's pretty incredible when a work of art can transport you like that, isn't it? You can check out some of my favorite paintings by Teil Duncan below: I hope that you think her paintings are as beautiful as I do (and that you can feel the cool breeze off of the water, too!).
You can see more of Teil's work on her website, her blog, and/or in her shop. Thanks for sharing your talent and vision with us, Teil! Now anyone want to join me for a quick jaunt to the beach today? ;) Comments are closed.
