The most amazing thing about today's artist is that she doesn't use photoshop. At all. Each of the images in today's post were created by hand, meaning, the artist, JeeYoung Lee, assembled these scenes/sets in her 10' x 20' studio over the course of a couple of weeks (or in some cases, months!), and then photographed them without making any changes. She focuses on every detail, painting walls, making handmade decor elements, hanging items from the ceilings, until the scene is absolutely perfect, all so that she won't have to make any photographic alterations after the fact. Her work is beautiful, surreal, dreamlike, and I find her single-minded dedication to her craft--to her unique brand of art--really inspiring and commendable. Lets take a look, shall we? Jee YoungLee's work is available at OPIOM Gallery, and you can view more of her photographs (lots more where these came from!) on their website.
Have a dreamy Wednesday, everyone... Comments are closed.
