Ohhhh la la! Just looking at these paintings makes me want a terrarium filled with plants! Aren't they pretty? And what about the paintings themselves? Masterful. I love the colors, the simplicity, the painterly handling of natural elements... Plants have been on my mind a lot lately due to our total and complete lack of knowledge about anything + everything related to plants, gardens, yards, etc. combined with the fact that we're now responsible for an entire house worth of yard [and the plants, bushes, grass, weeds, and trees that come with that yard]. It's a lot to take care of and learn about, and we're so not there yet! I guess that's why they call it adulting. Anywho, I think I like paintings of plants so much because they don't need watering or trimming or weeding, they just need to be hung in the right place and then admired (much more my speed). You can view a selection of my favorite Terrarium paintings by the amazing Nashville-based artist, Kelly S. Williams, below: So lovely, aren't they? Kelly also does gorgeous black + white paintings of rooms (household rooms), which I definitely recommend you check out on her website.
Hope your day is as zen as these paintings (one can wish, right?)! Comments are closed.
