I potted my first plant [ever] yesterday. I moved some pansies from their little plastic sleeves into a white ceramic pot, and I'm feeling preeeetttttyyyy good about it. It took all of about 5 minutes, yet left me feeling like a domestic goddess who had just accomplished a big feat...and I may or may not have bragged about it to Ben later ;) So, yes, as you can see, flowers have been on my mind lately. As we watch all of the retirees in our neighborhood (and there are a lot!) spend all day, every day making their yards and gardens look PERFECT, we've been dreaming about having a gorgeous yard and garden of our own someday. It's not in the books for this season, as we're still too inundated with other house projects, but maybe next year, once we're a little more settled in... Thus, since I can't have a perfect garden full of beautiful blossoming flowers right now/right away, I thought it would be fun to look at some perfect paintings of flowers, created by the incredible hyperrealism artist, Patrick Kramer. Yes, the paintings above and below are just that--actual paintings. They're incredible! And I think they perfectly capture the beauty of spring blossoms in a way that photography can't always convey. You can take a look below... Oh spring, I love you so much. And gorgeous blooming flowers, I'm coming for ya [someday]!
You can view more amazing hyperrealism paintings by Patrick Kramer on his website, his Facebook page, and/or on instagram. I hope your day is full of beautiful blossoms! |
