There are few simple joys in life that I love as much as I love fresh fruits and veggies, which is why I was enamored when I recently came across the work of French artist Florent Tanet. As you can see from the image above, Tanet slices and then arranges fruits and veggies into interesting patterns and compositions, and then he takes a photograph. Simple enough, right? Except that somehow, these photographs are really, really striking (and dare I say powerful?). Shot from interesting angles, fruits and veggies seem to take on a larger-than-life persona in his images, which in my mind, they truly deserve (for all of their healthy goodness, delicious taste, and beautiful color, of course...).
