I've developed a big urge to start painting flowers. I'm thinking about it constantly and am dying to get started, but have to finish a couple of commissions before jumping in... So, in the meantime, I've been seeking inspiration in the form of other artists who paint florals--and who pull it off in a completely original and awe-inspiring way--like today's featured artist, Erin Fitzhugh Gregory. I mean, will you look at the colors she uses and the way that she applies the paint? It's so bold and loud and juicy! Erin makes bouquets look alive and full of personality, and I love that about her work. Can you imagine having one of these pieces as the focal point of your living room? Oh my, how exciting that would be! Lets take a look at some of my faves... Can someone please hand me some paint, a paintbrush, and a week off? I'm inspired and want to get to it!
Interested in seeing more from Erin? You can view her paintings on her website, buy prints on One Kings Lane (!), and/or check her out at one of the galleries that shows her work. Oh, and a fun fact about Erin: She's a southern gal who currently lives in GA. {Shout-out to my home state!} Hope you have a gorgeously vibrant Wednesday.
