Please tell me, have you ever seen anything as cute as the work of artist and designer Kendra Dandy? Also known as Bouffants and Broken Hearts, I stumbled across Dandy's work on one of my favorite art blogs, The Jealous Curator. Bouffants and Broken Hearts is a really interesting hybrid of a a bunch of different types of art--I see her work as part graphic design, part pattern or print-making, part illustration, part painting, and part line drawing. It's very unique and very interesting. And how much do you love the fact that she's just become obsessed with drawing and painting bouffants, so has embraced that obsession and turned it into a story, of sorts? So unique. Take a look at a few of my favorite pieces by Dandy, below... I'm smitten.
And guess what? You can buy prints, iPhone covers, stationary, and a whole bunch of other neat stuff featuring the clever patterns of Bouffants and Broken Hearts in her shop on Society 6. To see all of Dandy's work, click here. Namaste! Mary Catherine Comments are closed.
