I don't know why, but there's something really lovely about paintings of bicycles. Perhaps because of what bicycles symbolize: A healthy, wind-in-your-hair, sun-on-your-shoulders way of getting around, a method of transportation that relies solely on physical movement, a skill learned in childhood and then used throughout our lives--the sense of freedom experienced while riding down a bike path in some gorgeous place on a gorgeous day... Am I projecting? Perhaps ;) But, bicycles are usually pretty important to their owners, so it makes sense to become a bicycle portrait artist, especially if you're as skilled at painting bikes as today's featured artist, Taliah Lempert. I love the idea of specializing and getting really good at one very specific thing--especially when it comes to creative endeavors--and that's exactly what Taliah Lempert has done. Her bikes are beautiful, and it appears as though she has drawn + painted hundreds of them (!), which shows that she really loves doing so and explains how she's gotten so good. Here are a few of my favorites: So great! I just love them! Want more bicycle paintings, or bicycle notecards, t-shirts, coloring books, magnets? Check out Taliah's website for loads more where these came from.

I love these...and now I want one! My orange Cannondale has been my BFF since 2003, together we've ridden thousands of miles, and I would so totally hang its "portrait" on my wall. 8/16/2015 08:44:40 pm
I have BSA Mach 1 and 2 Firefox Bicycle for my kids. These Bicycle help my whole family to keep fit and fine. We ride daily 5-10 miles in morning. Good source of exercise for all who want to reduce their extra pounds. 1/20/2016 09:13:23 pm
