Yesterday, I was lucky enough to get a chance to go on a private tour of the current Degas Exhibition at The Phillips Collection here in DC (courtesy of Ms. Kimberly Wilson). Although I was completely embarrassed that I've lived in DC for over 2 years now and had never been to The Phillips Collection (I'm the worst! How could I do that!? It is amazing!), I was also completely inspired by the exhibition. I've always loved Degas and the amazing color and movement that he captures in his work, and seeing a number of his pieces together in an exhibition was simply delightful. I loved quite a few of the pieces in the museum, but a handful of my favorites are below... Doesn't it just make you want to get up and dance? Or at least get a good stretch in? There was a ballet bar and some mirrors in the museum, and I think our whole group was a bit tempted to get out there and bust a move :) Here's to an inspired day!
