I got lost browsing the web for a bit yesterday, and as always, was completely inspired by some of the sites that I came across. I'm always looking for creatives who are doing something different, and these 3 ladies definitely are! Enjoy :) 1. Camila Do Rosario: This artist/designer's mixed media sketchbook images are to die for! Seriously! She is so talented and they have such an ethereal quality to them. Makes me want to pull out my sketchbook and get to work! Look through all of her images here. 2. Dana Tanamachi: An amazingly talented graphic designer and...get this...CUSTOM CHALK LETTERER (I didn't know this job existed!? Where has it been all my life? Sign me up!) who lives in Brooklyn. Her chalk lettering is absolutely gorgeous, and as someone who decorates a lot of chalkboards at Tranquil Space, I know how hard chalk can be to write with. Take a gander at her skill below or view her portfolio here... 3. Lee Price: A female figurative realist oil painter (one of my fave types of painters!) who primarily does paintings of women in bed or in the bath with food. The images are very poignant--part hidden binge-eating, part women letting go and enjoying themselves, and part sexual--and although the images are bright and fun, there's also a bit of a dark side to them. No matter how you read them, her talent is apparent and I absolutely LOVE her viewpoint (bird's eye!). So unique!!! I need to read up on her and see what her artist's statement says about her paintings...view her portfolio here or scroll down to see a few of my faves... Are you inspired yet? I know, so many talented people out there...how will we ever have the time to find them all and look at their sites and be amazed? Sigh... Have a creative Thursday! Namaste, Mary Catherine Comments are closed.
