This past weekend, my out-of-town guest (& BFF!), Kelly, and I were the queens of having-no-plans-and-just-exploring. Each day we would wake up without much of an idea of what we were going to do, and would just hit the streets to see where the day would take us. It was so refreshing! We had a great time and were just able to do whatever we felt like doing in the moment. Ultimately, this led to a lot of walking outside (in the gorgeous weather), browsing antiques at a flea market, shopping, chatting on benches while we took breaks, and stopping when we were famished to enjoy brunch or an afternoon treat. One of the things that I had forgotten recently (in my busy, yoga-filled life) is how much creative inspiration you can find just walking around and taking in the sights... Since it ended up being a somewhat vintage-inspired weekend with our stop at the flea market, I wanted to share the shots that I did remember to snap (sadly, not enough!) of inspiring items that I picked up and displays that we came across on our journeys. Enjoy! I also fell in love with piles of vintage brooches (so enamored I forgot to take pictures!), vintage "woman's lib" posters, and a number of collections of vintage cameras. Amazing. Why does everything old look so darn classy?
Have an inspiring Monday! Namaste, Mary Catherine Comments are closed.
