Although I haven't mentioned it in a while, wedding planning has been chugging along under the radar for the past few months. During the last 2-3 weeks we've been working on some of our final "big" decisions, and yesterday felt like the culmination of all of our long discussions, as I booked both our Day of Coordinator/Planner and our ceremony musicians. This means that we may have all of our big "vendors" booked, and can now begin to focus on more of the small, personal details of the wedding (the stuff that I really love!). However, just because we've got everything booked at this point, doesn't mean that I haven't already had a few *small* wedding planning breakdowns and moments of total panic during the process thus far. For someone who has a hard time spending large amounts of money, planning a wedding for 100+ people can be extremely anxiety-producing, and decisions that are important, such as, "do I really need a day-of coordinator, or can I do it all on my own?" can be really difficult to make. Thus, I've been having moments where I dream of having a tiny, simple wedding in someone's backyard, or an elopement. Don't get me wrong, I'm totally excited about what we've decided to do and am so glad that our closest friends and family will be able to attend, but there definitely are those times where escaping to a quiet getaway to be married under the radar, or a wedding for 20 people at a small restaurant sound really nice. So this must be what people talk about when they say that 'planning a wedding is like having a second job,' huh? Wow, I'm 7 months out and am already suffering from decision fatigue... So, to assuage my yearning for something small and simple, I took to Pinterest this morning for some inspiration. Here are a few beautiful, simple, small wedding pics that made me feel comforted (and don't you just LOVE the "vintage wedding tent" pic at the top of this post? I want one!!!)... Ahhhh. A girl can dream of simplicity--even if she's not a very simple person--can't she? Namaste, Mary Catherine Comments are closed.
