Just Picture It: Cupcakes & Hawaii

La de da, just another painting day! I wanted to share what I've been working on lately, since I've been extremely derelict in posting my "painting updates." As I often say before posting paintings, please excuse the HORRIBLE pics taken with my iPhone...I was feeling lazy today and didn't want to take the time to take quality photos just yet.

Anyways, below are 2 fun in-progress paintings (part of my new acrylic/mixed media experimentation) and 1 commission that I've been working on for a while and finished today. So. Much. Fun.
Hope they make you smile, too!

Just for fun. May add some words in cursive at the bottom (written in pencil?), but I'm still deciding...and sorry for the fuzzy pic! Yikes.

Some vintage images from the old Life Magazine that I picked up recently--mixed with words from a vintage book and acrylic. Again, not finished and am still playing around with it.

And in a totally different style, here's the commission I just finished. It's a scene from a beach in Hawaii--the commissioner's home :)

Now doesn't that make you want to get away ASAP? Hawaii would be nice right about now...
