Hey everybody--it's yoga time!!!! As you can tell, I'm very excited to share the following video with you today, as the topic that I'm discussing is one that's really important to me as a teacher, and it's something that I see ALL the time in my classes...yep, that's right, it's confusion over the vinyasa (and ESPECIALLY over chaturanga and the chaturanga/up-dog transition). So, last week, Tim and I got to work and put together this video on "breaking down the vinyasa" for all of our Tranquil Space students. If you have any questions about how to take a vinyasa--or just want to check-in on your alignment and make sure that you're doing it correctly--take a look below! (Oh, and don't you love the still shot with my eyes shut, below? Flattering, I know ;) There's SO much to learn in yoga, but for all my vinyasa-ers out there, I think this is one of the most important things to work on (alignment-wise). We take so many vinyasas in a typical class, that if you aren't doing them correctly it can really cause imbalances and/or injuries over time. And now I'm off to Nashville for a girls-weekend-bachelorette-extravaganza for one of my dear friends who is getting married in May :) I'll try my best to post my SJOTW from the "Country Music Capitol of the World" tomorrow (yippeeee!)!
