Ever since I downloaded the iPhone app Instagram, I've considered myself a world-class photographer (!). Instagram makes everything look amazing--like it's out of a dream world--and although it's silly, I'm so happy to have it in my life because it reminds me to take more pictures! Now, when I see something that I think is beautiful, I can take a beautiful picture of it without feeling ashamed at my inability to capture the essence of that object--Instagram does capture the essence! It's a miracle!!! So, without further introduction, see below to take a peek at a few pics that I've taken while I've been at home this past week...these are mostly pictures of my stepmother's garden, which is really special to me because it is her passion and she's recovering from surgery right now. She's done a wonderful job taking care of this garden while battling cancer over the past couple of years, and now that she's in the hospital, her good friend and neighbor has been coming down to our house every day to tend to it, water, and weed while she's away. The garden is a great reminder to me that she will bloom once again after she has recovered from her surgery :) Click on any picture to enlarge and scroll though. And, on a totally unrelated note, just because I LOVE vintage pics (and these two pictures in particular), I had to share these non-instagrammed pictures from our hallway. They're both old pictures of my grandmother and I think that they are just SO classy... Read more about my glamorous grandmother and her darling sister, my equally-glamorous great-aunt, here. And now I'm going to get ready to hop on a flight back to D.C.! I'll resume "normal" life tomorrow...see you there! Namaste, Mary Catherine Comments are closed.
