New year = new batch of commissions! But, before I move on, I wanted to share some of the holiday commissions that I worked on [almost every waking hour] in November and December. I'm sharing half this week, half next week, and I've included a little note about each painting so that you get the background deets (the sweet part!). Also, a HUGE thanks to everyone who commissioned a painting, purchased an original or print as a gift, and/or purchased some of my holiday greeting cards (which were my best-selling Etsy item yet, quantity-wise)!!! Your constant support allows me to live a life that I love and make a part of my living creating art, which, as you know, makes my heart sing ;) Now to the custom orders... Painting above: A gift from a wife to her husband--obviously a painting of their sweet little dog-child. The commissioner also got greeting cards of the painting (such a great idea!) and prints, and gave one to her mom, who simply adores her grand-dog. Acrylic on mounted panel, 12" x 16." Painting below: A gift from one sister to another. The giftee just got married, so her sister had me paint her wedding dress. I also framed it for her in a pretty silver frame, which made the painting really pop. Watercolor on paper, 8" x 10." Painting below: Another gift from a wife to her husband. This is the church where they got married, right after Christmas a couple of years ago. She commissioned this way back in the summer, and kept it a secret until Christmas! Willpower. Acrylic on canvas, 11" x 14." Painting below: One of my friends commissioned this painting for herself (she's been talking about it for years!), but once it was completed we made prints for each of her family members, which she gave them for Christmas. The painting is in memory of/in honor her dad, as the boots are his old work boots. Oil on mounted panel, 8" x 10." Quite the variety, as usual! Interested in commissioning a painting?
