As we get ready to celebrate our first Thanksgiving on the Cape--which will start with a big football game amongst all of Ben's high school friends (in the 34-degree weather!), and end with a feast at his grandmother's house--I'm feeling extremely grateful for this new place that is filled with so many familiar (and loving) faces.
Although we've only been here for 4 weeks, it's starting to feel like home, and celebrating our first holiday here will only expedite that feeling. As always, there are so many things to be grateful for this year, and I definitely plan on taking some time to reflect on them today. But, instead of taking this space to list of all of the things that I'm feeling thankful for, I simply want to use this time to thank YOU for reading, for your support, for your emails/comments/notes, and for being there for me as I have made this big life change. I hope that your Thanksgiving is a special one, no matter where you are or who you're with, and that you can connect with all of the fullness that this holiday--and the focus on gratitude that comes with it--can bring. I'll leave you with my favorite quote about gratitude (which I'm sure I've shared before!): “Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today and creates a vision for tomorrow.” -Melody Beattie Happy Thanksgiving, everyone, from yours truly and the CC wild turkeys ;)

Great minds must think alike because that is the same quote Diabra read at the TSA charity class this morning! Happy Thanksgiving! Comments are closed.
