*I've changed this quote from "he" to "she." I hope Dr. Seuss will forgive me... Happy Labor Day, bloggies! I hope you slept in, sipped your tea or coffee with leisure, and are now getting ready to spend the day relaxing, or playing outside, or soaking up the sun in your favorite white (or seersucker) outfit. Yesterday, we headed out to the country with some friends to go "whitewater tubing." Despite being sucked into a vortex of rapids and flipped upside down at one point, I had a blast. It was amazing to get away from the city and take a real day off, and as always, the longer we'd been away, the more I felt myself relaxing, and the more I was able to let go... I hope that today, you can experience a similar feeling of letting go--wherever you are and no matter what you're doing. Maybe try to let go without losing your shoes, water bottle, and sunglasses to a swirling vortex of water (don't worry, I was able to recover all of my items, eventually, once I'd surfaced...), but definitely while soaking up some sunshine with good friends or family. I'll be working a bit this morning and teaching at noon, and then we're off to an afternoon of beach volleyball and grilling out! I'm excited. Hope your day off is a playful one, too! PS. Since I'm taking the afternoon off, I won't be posting a dress painting today. A Dress a Day will be back in full force tomorrow!
