In a little over 3 months, Kimberly Wilson and I will be heading to Costa Rica with a bunch of fabulous yogis for our 2015 Art + Asana Retreat to Pura Vida Spa, an amazing private mountainside estate in the Alajuela province. I've been getting a lot of questions about this retreat, so wanted to put together a short list of FAQs for those who might be considering joining us... But first, the basics: The retreat is May 23rd-30th, and a $500 non-refundable deposit (to hold your space) is due March 15th. You can get all of the nitty gritty {but super fun and exciting!} details about the retreat here. The main focus for the retreat? Relaxation, getting away, recharging--basically everything wonderful that should happen on a real vacation. Now, the FAQs: -Do you have to be artistic or creative to come? What is the "art" aspect of the retreat? No, you don't have to be an artist to take part in the "art" aspects of this retreat! This part of the schedule is simply meant to help you get in touch with your inner creative, do some creative play, and perhaps, get out of your comfort zone. We will experiment with a variety of creative outlets, including writing, art journaling, collage/mixed media, and more! No experience or "talent" needed. -I'm on a tight budget, but want to make this work. How can I attend in the most affordable way possible? Compared to many retreat destinations, Costa Rica is pretty affordable. If you book soon, you can probably score a ticket under $500 (last year mine was only $350--the same it cost for me to get to Atlanta!). On the actual retreat, ALL expenses are included (except massages/treatments and excursions away from the resort, of course), and you can stay with a roomate in one of their luxury tentalows for only $1,650 for the week. So, you could come out at around $2000 total for the entire week if you're mindful and live with a roommate for the week ;) -What level are the yoga classes on the trip? All-levels! If you've been to one of my all-levels classes on the Cape, or if you've been to an Open Flow at Tranquil Space, the level will be similar. We will also have some restorative, yin, and meditation sessions, so it's not all vinyasa. -What is the daily schedule like? The schedule is set up to allow for lots of downtime for napping by the pool, getting massages, and taking walks through the nearby coffee plantations. Every activity/yoga class/session is optional, as is every meal. Here's a sample day for you:
Other things you should know? The food is TO DIE FOR, the resort is gorgeous, there are super fun [optional] excursions offered multiple times throughout the week, and honestly, you'll never want to leave!! I know I didn't. Feel free to email me with any further questions! I would LOVE to have some Starr Struck readers attend ;) {RESERVE YOUR SPACE HERE}You can also view more of the fine print on Tranquil Space's website, and can view some pics I took on last year's trip here.
Hope you can join us! I'm *so* excited already! Comments are closed.
