Bonjour from The Windy City! I've been a bit slow in posting today because we've been having so much fun, and sadly, I've been a bit worse at taking pictures than I usually am because we've been too busy enjoying our time together! So I can't post my usual "sights and sounds of ___" post with tons of images of our trip, but I can share the highlights :) How have we filled our days together? Read on for the details... 1. Long walk along the water on the "beach" of Lake Michigan (walking has always been one of our favorite things to do together!) 2. Went to a cookout/party and made a cheeseball to bring along. It. Was. Amazing. We tried sculpting it into a fun shape, but it was extremely difficult so we had to settle for the typical ball formation :( Still, it was delicious, and was my first cheeseball! 3. Saw Crazy, Stupid, Love. It's GREAT! Go see it if you haven't already. Also, for the record, I freaking love Steve Carell and really, really, really dislike Kevin Bacon (and always have! I made a sign for my room when I was in middle school that said "I hate Kevin Bacon" and drew a picture of his face with an 'x' over it. Not kidding!). 4. Took a yoga class at Moksha Yoga Center, which came highly recommended from a number of yogis...it was a beautiful space and I got some great ideas from the class :) Definitely worth checking out if you're traveling to Chicago any time soon! 5. Tried on wedding dresses. For the first time. It was SO exciting and all of the dresses were incredibly beautiful. I've already found two that I adore and we have another appointment this afternoon, so wish me luck! We've also done quite a bit of eating, shopping, talking (LOTS of talking) and laughing. There's just NOTHING like spending time with a life-long friend (since 5th grade!) after over a year apart... Off to enjoy our last day together!
