That just because we're in the middle of a pandemic doesn't mean people aren't following their entrepreneurial dreams... In fact, I think people are following their entrepreneurial dreams *more fiercely* than usual because we're in the middle of a pandemic, which is awesome. So, because I've done so many logos design projects recently, I figured it was time for a quick round-up + shout-outs to all of our amazing clients. Here's Part 1; I'll post Part 2 next week... ABOVE: Infinity Yoga & Birth Doula Logo for Austin, TX-based prenatal yoga teacher and doula, Allison Cline. {We also designed + built her website, which you can check out here.} BELOW: Logo for Jessica Avitabile, Cape-Cod based Health Coach & Nia teacher {We built Jessica's website, too! Although the pandemic has crushed many small business (especially in places like Cape Cod where we rely so much on tourism), seeing new businesses continue to pop-up despite the pandemic gives me great hope. One of these businesses is Fig Tree Cafe, a local eatery (formerly "The Mills") that was purchased by my client Maria Ferguson during the heart of the pandemic. Maria officially took over and rebranded the business in early September and it has been a total honor working with her on everything from the logo and website, to signage, business cards, menus, and so much more. For those who are local, this weekend is Fig Tree Cafe's Grand Opening Weekend so I encourage you to stop by to enjoy their AMAZING food and new look+ feel! Here's a glimpse at some of the branding projects that I've done for Maria and Fig Tree Cafe... ABOVE: Full logo BELOW: Website (click on the image below to visit the live site) BELOW: Menu (click on the image below to view the menu online) BELOW: Secondary Logo BELOW: Business Cards BELOW: Brand Icons BELOW: Grand Opening Promo Postcard Don't you love the fun colors that Maria chose for her brand? If you've been to this restaurant in the past (when it was The Mills) I think you'll be shocked at how different it looks now! I absolutely LOVE what she's done with the place (insert heart eyes emoji here).
It's been a blast working with Maria on this project and I'm excited to continue working with her as she further develops the brand and look... Interested in learning more about our design services? I've been really worried about all of my brick + mortar clients making it through this tough time--and while it's definitely been hard for a lot of them (and many have had to make changes to their business models in order to stay afloat), I'm glad to say that most of the businesses I work with have been able to keep things going... As for my little business, things were touch-and-go for a while (and my revenue has definitely been way down this year!) but I'm slowly easing back into a *somewhat regular* work-from-home-mom schedule and am beginning to feel truly productive again. I'm also very grateful for all of my amazing clients who have kept me plenty busy over the past almost 6 months of craziness. Since I already gave some of my recent web design clients a shout-out, I figured it was time I give some of my pandemic logo design clients a shout-out, too! Thus, here are some of the recent logo design projects I've been working on over at Starr Struck Design Studio: -(Above) The Naptime Writer Logo I made this sweet logo is for my dear friend and book reviewer/blogger, Jessica Christensen. She's the best. Check her out here. -Wear Your Cause Logo (below) A brand new logo for a brand new biz! Wear Your Cause is a conscientious jewelry brand focused on inspiring, doing good, and giving back. Check out their gorgeous bracelets here. -Sarah L. Dickey Brave Birthing Logo (below) I created this logo for longtime client Sarah L. Dickey--before she found out that she couldn't use this business name due to trademark issues. We're now working on a new logo and business name but I thought this logo was so pretty I had to share here, anyway ;) -Zen Mother Hen Logo (below) Somehow I completely forgot to share this logo WAYYYY back in January when I finished it (I blame #momlife)...I made it for a fabulous local yoga teacher, Danielle Ayoette (we made two versions, both of which you can see below). Check her out here. -Namasup Cape Cod Logo (below) Namasup Cape Cod asked me to create a new logo for her in the spring, right before the start of her busy summer season; she offers Stand Up Paddling, SUP Yoga, SUP Shred, and a Nightlight SUP experience right here on Cape Cod (obviously). Check her out here. -Ali + Dave Wedding Logo (below) I created this logo for family friends Ali + Dave before their wedding was (sadly) postponed due to COVID. At least they have something to look forward to in 2021! -Educational Alchemist Logo (below) I just finished up this logo (and website) for Laura Purnell, the inspiring coach, consultant, teacher, and healer behind Educational Alchemist. Check her out here. ...That's it for now! I have a few more fun logos in the works so will be sure to share them when they're done. Thank you again to all of our incredible clients--I love my job SO much (even during a pandemic when everything is insane!!!).
{In need of a new logo? Feel free to reach out to learn more about our rates and process!} As usual, we've been hard at work over at Starr Struck Design Studio pumping out client projects and trying to wrap-up some of the longer-term projects before I head out on maternity leave! Thus, before I pop-out and these recently-completed logo + website designs become old news, here's a quick rundown of a few of the things we've been working on recently... Project #1: Centered Pilates + Yoga Logo and Website Design Centered is a brand new boutique pilates + yoga studio here on the Cape, located in Orleans. The owner, April Smith Tesson, is a teacher who I've known and worked with since moving here back in 2013 (I've done quite a bit of design work for her in the past, too!), so I was honored when she reached out about creating her new logo and website. I LOVE her aesthetic and attention to detail and am very happy with what we came up with together. You can view her logo above (obviously) and her website below (click on the image to visit the real thing). And if you're local, go check her out! Project #2: Heart Centered Living Logo(s) Another long-time client (who is also a serial entrepreneur), Sarah Dickey, had us create two logos (primary and secondary) for her newest business endeavor, Heart Centered Living, under which she offers hypnotherapy, spiritual work, and yoga teaching. You may remember Sarah from a recent post I did about some of the work I've done for her other company, Cool Creative Press--she's fabulous! Project #3 (lots of projects all-in-one!): Apparel Illustration/Design for Cool Creative Press Speaking of Cool Creative Press, here are some more illustrations I've done for her recently (some of the others that I've done in the past can be found here). These illustrations are all based on quotes from her books and she uses them on shirts, as prints, on tote bags, etc. Project #3: Provisions Logo I'm not going to say much about Provisions because they haven't launched yet and I want to let them be the ones to make the announcement about their amazing business when they do, but suffice it to say that I loved working on this logo with the Provisions team (we went through so many iterations before landing on this one) and I'm really happy with what we came up with. The primary logo is below, as well as a secondary logo that includes a subtitle, and the "forks" design elements I created for them. Project #4: Maaa's Monogram Boutique Logo and Website The talented mompreneur + founder of Maaa's, Heather, reached out to me a few months ago about wanting to get her new monogram business up-and-running quickly, and as soon as she was ready, we made it happen! We created Heather's logo and website in a matter of weeks and I'm very proud of the final products that we pulled together. Her logo is below and you can hop on over to her new website to shop all of the amazing clothing she has available to personalize (available monogrammed or not, if monograms aren't your thing). A huge thank you to all of these amazing clients for trusting us with your design needs AND to all of our other clients who aren't featured in this post but who we've been working closely with on projects over the past few months.
We love you all and I'll definitely miss working for you while I'm out on maternity leave! Also, gratitude x 1000000 to my right-hand woman, Sara, who will be keeping our little biz running while I'm out having a baby ;) Interested in working with us? Learn more about our services here and/or reach out with questions. Happy May, everyone! Last week, I shared Part 1 of a roundup of our recent design projects, and this week, I'm back with Part 2. So let's jump right in and take a look at [more of] what we've been up to over at Starr Struck Design Studio over the past few months... Project #1 (above + below): Logo Design for Amber Jane Photography Amber Jane Barricman and I connected on Instagram a few months ago, and when she needed a new logo for her Real Estate & Architectural Photography biz, I was honored that she reached out to me! She has a pretty clear aesthetic but wasn't sure which direction she wanted to go in imagery-wise, so we went through quite a few iterations before we landed on her logo. We did both a circular option and a rectangular composition for her various logo needs. Check out her site to learn more about her! Project #2: Website Design, Logo Design, Van/Truck Design, + Marketing Materials Design for Bouquet To-Go Michelle Fairbanks, the creative behind Bouquet To-Go, is a life-long entrepreneur and fellow Cape Cod yogi + yoga teacher. This local mobile flower shop (which will be parked in Osterville and has a brick + mortar in Centerville) is something she's been dreaming about doing for years, and this winter she finally decided to make it happen. I was super excited to help her bring her floral dreams to life and it was super fun working with someone who wanted more pink and more flowers on everything! ;) We ended up doing A LOT of different projects for Michelle, but a few of them are below... The logo: Her promotional mailer (front): And back: And here are her business cards (front + back): Project #3: Website Design for E. Lawler Color Consulting + Interiors Local color consultant + interior decorator Elizabeth Lawler reached out needing a website to showcase her services and incredible eye for design. She's been in the business for years, but is finally at the point where she's ready to take her business to the next level. It was so fun working with her to make this happen and I'm super happy with how clean and simple her site turned out! Click on the image below to take a look at her live site... Project #4: Logo Design for Hot Yoga Cape Cod Hot Yoga Cape Cod just came under new ownership and as a part of that transition, decided to go through a re-brand. I loved working with the new owner, Emily Johnson, to help bring her vision to life and pull together a bold new color scheme for the brand. You can view both her primary and secondary logos below (and learn more about HYCC here). Project #5: Website Design for Lisa Calandriello Late last year, we designed a new logo for Lisa Calandriello, a VA-based yoga teacher + creative who was ready for a re-brand as she gets back into teaching after a little hiatus. Once we were done with her logo, we turned our attention to her website, which showcases her many interests and love for creativity. Check out the site by clicking on the thumbnail image below... And there you go! Plenty more where this came from, but I'll wait to share our more recent projects until the clients have launched them on their ends ;)
Again, a HUGE thanks to all of our amazing clients for trusting us with your design needs! Interested in working with us? Learn more about our services and view our full portfolio here. I've been pretty slow to post the work that we're doing over at Starr Struck Design Studio lately. In fact, some of the projects featured in today's roundup are a couple of months old! But, better late than never, right? So, I'm sharing a handful of "recent" branding projects today and another handful next week so you can get a glimpse into what we've been focused on over the past few months... Project #1: Logo Design (Primary + Secondary) and Website Design for Georgia Birth Advocacy Coalition I grew up with the now-founder of the Georgia Birth Advocacy Coalition, Zawn Villines, and was excited when she reached out to me about working on this project. The organization has an amazing mission; did you know that Georgia’s maternity care is the worst in the nation, with the highest maternal death rate? The Georgia Birth Advocacy Coalition wants to change that (check out their site to learn more!). But anyway, Zawn approached me about needing two versions of her logo--an inclusive version that spoke to the feminine energy of pregnancy and a more professional and buttoned-up version. In the end, we settled on the logos above + below. And here's the website that we pulled together for her! Click on the image below to peruse the live site. Project #2: Website Design for Delicious Living Nutrition Nicole Cormier is an amazing Cape Cod-based anti-diet dietitian, local food enthusiast, author, and intuitive eating nutrition therapist. DLN is her ever-growing business and it was a fun challenge working with her to completely overhaul her website (we started from scratch and re-built it on a new platform). Her goal was a much cleaner, more organized, more focused website, and I think we made that happen! Click on the site pic below to visit + see for yourself... Project #3: Logo Design + Website Design for Better with Butter I went to college with the owner and baker behind Better with Butter (shout-out Diana Freeman) and am really excited for her as she gets going with this new venture (in TX). All of her baked goods look *DIVINE* and it was great getting them up on her site for the world to see (and order!). She was fairly clear on the color scheme she wanted for her logo and branding, and it was wonderful working with someone who had such a distinct aesthetic and eye for design. Here's the logo we came up with in the end: And here's her new website (would you look at those scones? My pregnant taste buds are going crazy, haha!)! Oh, and one more fun design element that we created for Diana--this pattern that mimics the tiles used in the backsplash in her kitchen where she does all of her baking! This is just a snippet, but she's used it on the back of her menu card, her business card, and more. Project #4: Website Design for Lynn Campbell Art Lynn is an Atlanta-based abstract artist who wanted a shoppable home for her art online. Her work is gorgeous, so it was quite enjoyable looking at all of the colors and soothing paint strokes while pulling her site together; we tried to keep it simple + clean so her art can shine. You can check our Lynn's work + site by clicking on the link below: ...And with that, I'll be back with more of our recent work next week! Thanks to all of our amazing clients for hiring us to do these fun projects and for putting your design trust in us.

As you may already know from this here lil' blog, my youngest brother got married to his longtime GF/now wife, Caitlin, back in January. Before we get too far out from that amazing event, I wanted to share all of the fun paper goods that I designed for them as a part of their big day. But first, can we all just talk about how modelish (that's a word) they look in the pic above? I'm dying! Anyway, in preparation for their big day we came up with the following together... Custom Wedding Logo + Save-the-Date Custom Invitation Suite: Invite, RSVP Card, + Rehearsal Invite Custom Programs (click to enlarge) Isn't all of this so much fun? Doesn't it make you want to plan a wedding right this instant? Or at least attend one? Or at least look at a bunch of wedding blogs + get inspired? No? Just me? Either way, it was an honor creating all of these items for Patrick and Caitlin and I loved seeing them come to life on their big day. {You can learn more about all of these services on the Starr Struck Design Studio website.} Oh, and just for fun, here's a pic of me, my dad, and my middler brother, Peter, with the happy couple ... And LASTLY...the only pic of CM in her dress from the entire wedding (read about her "Flower Girl" experience here).
Yikes! It's been SO long since I've shared a roundup of recent design projects! In fact, the list of projects that we've been working on is so lengthy that there's no way I can share everything in one post, so, I'll just share a few of the websites + logos that we've completed over the past 6 months or so... Project Above: Wedding Logo Amanda reached out earlier this year looking for a logo for her upcoming nuptials. They were planning on getting married in a beautiful old gaslight district in VA, so asked that her logo feature a gaslight in some way; we ended up settling on the logo above. She just emailed me yesterday saying how great the wedding was and how much they loved the koozies that they had made with the logo on them--which prompted me to share the logo with you, of course ;) Project Below: Logo + Website Design for Olivia Beaton Olivia is a yoga teacher, photographer, writer, and college senior who is CRAZY on top of things and wanted me to help her with her branding *before* she graduates so that she can enter the world of working world ahead of the game. We came up with the following logo + website (click the screenshot to visit her site). I'm so excited for her to pursue her entrepreneurial + yogi dreams! Project Below: Van Rensselaer's Logo Redesign VR's is a restaurant here on Cape Cod who was looking for a logo refresh--they felt that their old one was outdated and wanted a cleaner look. While the unveiling of this new logo is still in progress at the restaurant (it's a process when you've been in business for SO long!), here's what we came up with... Project Below: Quinta Oceania's Website Remember back in July when I shared Quinta Oceania's logo design? Well, now their website is done, too! Quinta Oceania is an Air B+B and retreat center in the Azores and it's the brainchild of my friend/client/hair stylist Kate Scott + her husband, Paul. Can't wait to visit someday! Project Below: Logo Designs for Lisa Calandriello Lisa and I go way back to my Tranquil Space days, and she recently reached out for two logos--the first, a new logo for her new brand + website (which I'll be tackling soon), and the second, a few versions of a simple logo for a yoga class/program she runs at her Fraternity's convention every year. So, here's the personal brand logo we ended up with: And here are two versions of the yoga program's logo (we did about 6 different versions of this one for different needs): Project Below: Jai Ven Skin Website I shared the JVS logo that I designed months ago, but now it's time to share the website. This one was a DOOZY but I'm really happy with how it turned out and am excited to watch this CA-based business grow. Check out the site by clicking on the image below... Project Below: Dewey Gardens Website We did this project way back in the spring, but I forgot to share it until now. Dewey Gardens is a local Landcare Specialist and Landscape Design company who needed a site that could showcase all of their beautiful work and before + afters. Here's the site that we made for them! Project Below: SeaCo Website SeaCo is a brand new Cape Cod-based natural skincare + body products line made by a mother/daughter team. They needed a simple online shop to start selling their goods as they continue to develop the brand. We pulled the following site together for them... And there you have it! SO much more where these came from but I'll share more in my next installment ;) Thanks to all of our amazing clients for hiring us to do this fun work and for putting your design trust in me + Sara.
Interested in working with us? Learn more about our services and view our full portfolio here. Oh man, it's been a while since I've posted one of these logo design roundups, but that's because I've just been too busy WERKING!!! I'm not complaining--I love what I do--but wowee, has this summer been chock full of client projects. As you all know, logo design is one of my *very favorite* services that we provide over at Starr Struck Design Studio, and that's because every logo project is so unique and often brings a new aesthetic, color palette, and/or challenge to the table. Thus, without further ado, here are some of the logos that I've created in the past few months. I've included a few sentences about each of the brands/people behind the logos below... Logo Above: Root to Bloom Wellness (+ secondary/social media version of the logo below) Sarah Chrosniak, the fabulous woman behind Root to Bloom Wellness, is a mama, yoga teacher, Ayurvedic Health Counselor, and life coach. She wanted a logo that reflected her new brand + services, and it was SO much fun creating this one for her. Logo Below: Quinta Oceana (+ 1-color version, also included below) My friend, hair stylist, and client Kate Scott is opening an Air B+B (and eventual retreat center) in the Azores and this is the logo that we created for this incredible spot (website coming soon!). The pics of this place = to die for. I can't wait to visit someday! Logo Below: Built on Cape Cod I've already told you all about my newest podcast collaboration (coming in September) with the fabulous ladies from LoveLiveLocal, but what I didn't mention is that I {obviously} made the logo for the new brand, too ;) Logo Below: Wedding Logo for my brother + his fiance, Caitlin :) My little brother and his longtime girlfriend-turned-fiance, Caitlin, are getting married in January!!! It was an honor to create their wedding logo for them and I'm excited to create the rest of their wedding materials, too. Logo Below: Petals & Roots Petals & Roots is a new Essential Oil-infused body product brand (so new that their site isn't up yet!), and they hired me to create this earthy-yet-glam logo for the company. Next project? Their website! This will be a fun one... By the way, isn't it weird that I had two very different companies with the word "Root" in their brand names reach out to me in the past few months? I think so. Anyway, those are just a few of the things that I've been up to! Will share our most recent website designs sometime soon, too... Thanks SO much to all of our amazing clients for your business + for being SO fun to work with. Need a logo for your business or next venture? Learn more here. As usual, the past few months have been bursting with new design projects of all kinds...and I couldn't love this work more (unless I had way more time in the day, in which case I would love everything more because I could devote more energy to all of it! Ahh, a girl can dream). Because I love shouting-out all of our wonderful clients and sharing what I've been working on, here's a glimpse into a few of the bigger branding projects that have taken up my time [and Sara's time, of course] over the past few months... Wellbeloved Wellness Branding Overhaul + Elite Nation Cycle Logo Design: Wellbeloved Wellness is a long-time favorite client and personal favorite spot to take fitness classes. The owner, Nicole Wellbeloved, is opening an incredible indoor cycling studio here on Cape Cod next month, and as a part of this new venture she was ready to give her existing brand, Wellbeloved Wellness, a makeover too. So, together we designed her Elite Nation Cycle logo (above) and a new logo and look for her Wellbeloved Wellness Lifestyle Studio. It was SO much fun! Check out the new Wellbeloved Wellness logo below, and scroll down for a screenshot of her new website (click on the screenshot below to visit the live site)... And here's the new site... The Pathfinder Group Website Design: Ed + Judith Augustine came to me via my dad, who taught their child years ago and recently mentioned my work to them when he ran into them (thanks, Dad!). They're launching a high-end Executive Coaching business based in Atlanta and needed a site that would reflect their expertise, services, and passion for leadership development in a clean, professional way. They were very clear on their vision and it was great fun bringing their ideas to life! View a screenshot of the site below or click on the image to check out the live site: Redefine by Juliette Logo Design: This logo is a design from late 2017 that I [somehow] never shared! Juliette is a local trainer who is ready to take her business to the next level and came to us for some help starting that process. First step? A logo, brand style guide, and business card. Check, check, check! Her logo is below: Jai Ven Skin Logo: Another design from 2017 that is finally making an appearance here! I created this logo for my client Gillian Gibree's latest venture, Jai Ven Skin, and am about to start working on their e-commerce website, too. I love how this logo turned out; you can see an image of it in-use on the product labels below. Again, a shoppable website is coming soon (yay!) but you can check them out on Facebook for now... Swish Private Basketball Training Logo + Website: Full disclosure, this "client" is my husband, Ben, and I know I've mentioned his new side-hustle here before, but I had to give it an official shout-out today so he could feel included in the client round-up (he loves being called a "client", haha!). After he decided to make his basketball training business official, Ben and I worked together to create his logo and website over just one-ish week (he was eager to get it out there!). He loves what we came up with and his business has already taken off, so I'd say it was a success! Here's his logo: And here's his website: Richard's Institute of Education and Research/ETM Logo: Last but not least, a watercolor logo that I created for a non-profit focused on using music, movement, and play to educate children and aid in their development. Their website is currently being redesigned and when it's complete, this logo will be a part of their new, updated look. ...And those are just the bigger projects we've been focused on! We've also tackled lots of smaller one-offs for our clients including oodles of fliers, online marketing materials, business cards, + more. Love. This. Work. Interested in learning more about Starr Struck Design Studio's design services? Hop on over to the Studio's site here. It's been a while since I've posted any design project updates, but that's because Sara and I have been working so hard and have had so many balls up in the air for so long that it just slipped my mind! So today, Part 1 of a 2-Part roundup of recent logo and website design projects. I'm just focusing on the big things here, but we've also been doing a ton of marketing material design these days: business cards, fliers, brochures, postcards, etc., which is super fun but not as fun to look at [for the average blog reader, haha]. Thus, here are some of the bigger projects we've ben working on + a few small notes about each... Logo Design Above: Moms in Harmony I created this logo for local Health Coach Meg Payne, whose focus is working with moms who want to live their healthiest lives. Meg is a fellow new(ish) mom and she came to me with a very clear idea of what she wanted her logo to look like; it was an honor to bring it to life for her! Logo Design Below: 5951 Alton I created this logo to represent a historic house for a real estate agent in Miami. The logo is based off of a picture of an architectural element from the house that he sent to me and I loved the challenge of coming up with a way to create a striking 2-dimensional representation of that element. Logo Design Below: beautiful.naturalawakening The fabulous lady behind beautiful.naturalawakening, Erin Fitzgerald, is a new mom friend of mine, my Babywearing Hip Hop coach, and an organic cooking + non-toxic living mastermind. I was totally honored when she approached me about designing her website + logo, and you can see what we came up with below (click on the screenshot of her homepage to visit her site! Her recipes and images are to die for). Logo Design Project Below: Cool Creative Press Sarah Dickey, one of my longtime clients, has just started her own Independent Publishing Company and asked me to design her logo + business cards. As usual, I loved working with her! The logo was a fun challenge because while Sarah has a very fluid, watercolory aesthetic, she needed a pretty basic logo that could easily be printed (and stand out) on the spines of books, in black and white on a title page, etc. We went back and forth quite a bit and finally came up with the following simple yet playful logo. {I know I said no business cards, but I had to include Sarah's below because they're just so cute...aren't they? Front + Back, of course...} Website Design Project: OPEX South Shore One of Ben's very best friends [who you may remember from the podcast and Yoga Strong], Bobby Scott, has just opened up his own gym and I couldn't be more excited for him. If you're located on the South Shore of Boston, you must check it out! It was so fun designing his website (and shirts, brochures, logo, + business cards) and his gym is incredible. Click on the screenshot below to visit his site and learn more. And there you have it! Just a few of the many projects that we've been working on as of late. More coming in Part 2 of this installment...
Learn more about our design services here. Today is the first official day of summer and the longest day of the year--hooray! To celebrate, I thought I'd share a super summery, Cape Cod-inspired branding project that Sara and I have just finished working on (as of yesterday). The client is an amazing Cape Cod Realtor named Cindy Blum (also a yoga student, of course!), who came to me wanting a fun, colorful, lighthearted watercolor banner + logo to use on the new website she was designing. She said that most realtor's websites are boring and stuffy, but because she is selling properties at the beach (often vacation homes), she wanted her site to stand out as different and more carefree, flowy, and lifestyle-focused. So, that's what we set out to do! From the beginning, Cindy had a clear vision: she knew she wanted a red VW bus with surfboards on top. Thus, we started with her banner image (shown above) and worked backward from there. After settling on a banner image that she liked, I created her basic logo (shown below) and gave her some van options to work with... At this point, I thought we were finished working together. I delivered Cindy's basic style guide (shown below) and started working on other client projects... ...But then, just a few days later, Cindy emailed me saying she wanted some watercolor "design elements" to be used on her website, in her newsletter, + beyond. She gave me a list of Cape Cod items that she wanted painted and I went to town. The watercolor images we came up with are below: And then, wouldn't you know, Cindy decided that she'd like us to go ahead and design her website for her, too! We were flattered and excited ;) We used her "header" on the main page (as shown in the screenshot below) and her logo on all subsequent pages (also pictured below). You can view Cindy's new website here. We also went on to design Cindy's monthly newsletter template: And her email signature: ...And just like that, Cindy Blum went from a Realtor with "normal" Realtor branding to a standout, fun, Cape Cod lifestyle brand. It was a total honor to work with Cindy and we couldn't have had more fun creating all of these designs for her!

Happy first day of summer, everyone!!!! It's been a while since I've shared any of my recent logo designs, so I thought I'd use today to pull together a little roundup of logos created in the past few months + the stories/brands behind them. Logo design has truly become one of my favorite branches of my business (I know, I know, it sounds like they're all my favorites, but I really love what I do!); every logo is SO different and yet, I find that almost all of my clients have a similar aesthetic--which is why they're drawn to me and my work in the first place, obviously. Anywho, here are some of these recent creations... Logo Design Project (above): OM Fitness Logo Kat of OM Fitness came to me looking for a logo redesign + website facelift a few months ago. We started with her logo, which she wanted re-worked to convey how her brand has changed since she began it many years ago; her main areas of focus now are Essential Oils and yoga (as opposed to CrossFit/yoga for CrossFitters, which used to be a big part of what she did), and she wanted her logo to make that clearer. After a bit of back and forth, we landed on the above design. Up next: helping her redesign her site later this summer! I'm looking forward to it. Logo Design Project (below): Jill LilJ Logo Jill is a classic Jack-of-All-Trades who has her hand in everything: photography, yoga, surfing, modeling, music, writing...I could go on and on. She came to me looking for a logo for her personal brand, and knew from the beginning that she wanted red lips and a slight rock n' roll vibe. Done and done! We arrived on the following logo after just a few drafts. I'm excited to start creating her website for her next month! Logo Design Project: Pink Lotus Yoga + Personal Training Studio Logos Jerri, the owner of Pink Lotus, found me through Etsy. Her studio is located in Lafayette, IN, and she was looking for a more unique, hand-painted pink lotus and a subsequent reworking of her lotus-inspired logo. She also wanted a version of her logo that emphasized the personal training side of her business (see her second logo, below). Jerri knew what she wanted when she came to me so the design process was fairly straightforward. In the end, she received both of the logo variations below! Logo Design Project: Jessica Shuck Website Header You probably know who Jessica is by now (since I've mentioned her here on the blog many times over the years), but in case you don't, she's one of my BFFs and also an incredible writer, blogger, and mom. When Jessica made her website late last year, she was in need of a header and a bit of branding, and I was obviously honored to be able to create the following romantic, floral header for her site... "Logo" Design Project: Ornament Watercolor for Greeting Cards This project was a unique one--Chelsea came to me asking me to paint a specific ornament (she had a picture) in watercolor, and then add her logo (which she already had) to the center of the ornament. We did just that, and the final creation is below. She'll be using this "logo" on greeting cards + other printed materials. So there you go! I've also been hard at work creating a header, a logo, a bunch of watercolor design elements, and a website for a local realtor, which I'll share in one big post all about this fun branding project as soon as we get the site up :)

With 4 websites recently finished and another 5-6 in the hopper over the next couple of months, we've been web design fools lately. Good thing we really enjoy this work and enjoy working together as a team! It's so fun to help solopreneurs and small businesses shine online, and it always feels so good to launch a site after weeks (or months) of work. Our most recently-launched websites (+ logo designs) are below...click on the screenshot to visit the site and see it in action: Above: Susan Kinsella Art Website + Logo Design I am *so* in love with Susan's paintings. She's an ER doctor turned painter whose work has been selling like hotcakes and who wanted an online presence + a place to sell her art directly to collectors. So, that's what we made for her: an online shop/gallery and a simple, sophisticated logo to go with it. I highly recommend visiting her site and perusing her gorgeous paintings--they're sure to make you feel calm and serene... Below: God of the Sparrow Website Design {+ Logo/Color Scheme Revamp} God of the Sparrow is home to Minister Ashley Goff's Blog, The Landscape of Liturgy, and is the place where you can learn more about Ashley, the work that she does, and enjoy her writing about "all things liturgy." Ashley had an old Wordpress site but was ready to make the switch to a more updated, easy-to-navigate Squarespace site, and with that wanted a new look so that her site would match her vibrant personality. We updated her logo (the original was designed by someone else), changed her color scheme, and filled her site with big, eye-catching images. I love it! Check her out: Below: Osterville Pilates Website + Logo Design Osterville Pilates is a local Pilates Studio that had a very clunky, outdated website and was in need of a new one stat. These ladies offer amazing classes and really know their stuff, and they needed a site that looked as clean and beautiful as their space. Similarly, they didn't have a logo, but had a few signs that had somewhat similar elements that they needed woven together. So, we created a simple logo and clean site to match their existing branding and pull everything together. Voila! Below: Yoga with Elaine Website + Logo Design Elaine is a local yoga teacher and physical therapist who teaches vinyasa + gentle therapeutic classes here on Cape Cod. She came to us because while she'd played a little with creating a site on her own, she realized she just couldn't find the time to figure out how to do everything that she wanted to do. So, we took what Elaine had so far, worked with her current branding, and whipped up a very simple logo and straightforward site that gets her message and her offerings out there. It was fun and I loved working with her color palette! ...And that's what we've been up to! Thanks to all the fabulous peeps who have hired us to help with your website needs as of late; it's an honor to bring your work to life online!
