Although I'm dying to share some of my most recent painting commissions with you, alas, I cannot, as they're almost all surprise holiday gifts (and I don't want to give anything away!). So, instead, I thought I'd share just a few images of commissions from the fall that have already been given as gifts, or hung on a wall somewhere, and thus, are no longer Top Secret... Commission #1: Wedding gift for a recently-married BFF [Acrylic painting] This painting was done from a wedding photograph, and was a gift from the Maid of Honor to her best friend, the Bride. Such a sweet gift idea! Commission #2: Dress Paintings for a newly redecorated bedroom [Three watercolors] These three large dress paintings were inspired by my A Dress a Day project, and were created to be framed next to each other and hung over the bed in a room with a grey, lime green, and yellow color scheme. It was really fun to work with the woman who commissioned them, as she had a total vision and I loved bringing it to life ;) Commission #3: Wedding gift from groom to bride [Acrylic painting] Obviously, this wife is a yogi, and this was a super sweet and creative gift from her husband on their wedding day. Not sure why, but somehow I completely forgot to get any pics of this painting in it's initial stages, so we've only got two snapshots of some of the last few stages (where you'll notice her arms get longer and her face changes shape from one to the next), and then the final version...whoops! That's it for today! I'll be back with lots more commission images once the holidays are over and all of the gifts have been given ;)
Now I'm off to Boston to watch Ben get sworn in as an official member of the Massachusetts state Bar...! Comments are closed.
