I'm sorry to say that it's been quite a while since I posted my last painting process breakdown. I think I've been too busy actually painting (yay!) to stop and share the process, and for that, I truly apologize. I love sharing these kinds of images, as I find the evolution of a creative project, from beginning to end, to be really interesting. It's nice to be reminded that every finished product starts out messy and unclear, and often, when looking back, I find that there is great beauty to be discovered in the unfinished stages along the way (beauty that I often missed while in the thick of things). Sounds like life, eh? I think you'll be able to see what I mean when you take a look at my two most recent yoga pose commissions. Both were gifts from one partner in a couple to the other, and I was honored to be a part of these special (and meaningful) projects... Commission #1: Half-Moon painting for a couple's "yoga room" in their new house. Commission #2: Wheel painting wedding gift from a bride to her groom (also a thank you for moving across the country with her for her new job!). They'll also be hanging it in their new house :) Interesting, isn't it? As you can see, the painting process involves lots of planning, patience, stages, and layers. It can be difficult, but there's nothing like the feeling of putting down the brushes and calling something "finished."
Thank you to both of these couples for letting me be a part of your new homes!
